Var is checking to see if England can play out from the back.
Na they can't,
Maguire I wouldn't buy him with stolen money.

Agree8 Disagree0

The amount of times he ran the ball out straight into trouble, then would do it again 5 mins later. only jellyfish and English defenders appear to be the only species with no feedback loop and the inability to learn.

Wait til he signs for City and gets a proper coach like Pep then see how good he will be.

Ya just like the player he made stones.

The problem is they tried to play out like City but without the midfield in front to take the ball under pressure and move it on (Delph, really? ) . It brought extreme pressure on the centre backs. Stones mistakes were costly but if you sit that deep a mistake will be dangerous. Suicidal tactics from Southgate, who never changed even it was obviously causing a problem. In terms of Lingard I thought he did reasonably well.

I don't know why Henderson was in the bench. He certainly didn't need a rest after having nearly 3 weeks off before the CL final.
Sterling should have played o the left and Sanchi on the right.
Maguire is overrated. Still living off the back of that world cup.
AWB should have been in the squad and playing RB.

Maguire was stoned yesterday lol, he didn't even know where the ball was or how to pass it forward, i understand the possesion based footy that Southgate wants to play and its the right way going forward but he needs the players, England needs to developed those players, Rice? i thought he was horrendous, i still don't know what other people see in him, maguire? if you going to play possesion based footy maguire should be the waterboy, nowhere near the first team, midfield needs more mobility and creativity, Southgate will change the way England has played over the years but it won't be easy. Henderson needed to start yesterday to have more control in midfield, Delph is not a bad footballer but Rice doesn't have any creatity in him, Sancho had a very bad day and sterling was non existent the whole game, Rashford? idk about you but the only thing he does well is run, very speedy player with no football brain at all. Lingard played ok don't know why people are talking about here.
