Seems to have gone really quiet on here recently. Not surprise though, always does when the season ends.

Based on who we've been linked to so far this summer it could be safe to assume we will be pursuing Daniel James, Wan-Bissaka and if lucky De Ligt.

I worry about the lack of links to midfielders and attacking players though, Daniel James alone can't fix our RW position so would be really nice if the club went all out on another attacking player.

Also concerning that if we do sell Lukaku, who would we replace him with? He's far from perfect but definitely scores a lot of goals for us when on form.

One play I would really love us to go all out for is Bruno Fernandes, it feels like he could completely transform our midfield alongside pogba.

Eagerly waiting for the next sharkopod by ed002 to hear what he knows about our transfer business so far.

Hi weggy.
There are so many rumour and counter rumour that i don't believe any of them.
It really all depends on what shape ole wants to play and who will be leaving.
I think it will be hard to shift the likes of rojo darmian sanchez and jones.
Is ddg staying?
Is pogba staying?
Is lukaku staying?
Mata herrera valencia look to be the only ones out the door so far and only because we didn't have to sell them.
To be honest i'm more concerned about getting rid of players than i am about who is coming in.

I think Pogba and Lukaku will leave as Zidane is desperate for Pogba and Conte for Lukaku. It just depends on us if we are going to negotiate a good deal and we need to price them properly so the buying club and buy them.

We shouldn't really be haggling over 10 or 15 million and get rid of them for long term benefits.

Maybe Woodwork can use his financial genius powers and offer a special promotion. Buy Darmian get rojo half price. Maybe some sort of commercial sponsorship tie in.

I think there are two transfer strategies, neither of which has me fully convinced.

Ole seems to be looking at young English players, which is sensible if the plan was to bring in a few more quality experienced players to help them develop. James and WB appear to be Ole targets. But James is unproven at this level, and I’m not convinced that anyone will pay what Palace are looking for WB.

The other strategy seems to be looking at a few of Jose’s targets. Remember when we brought in Shaw and Herrera after Moyes left? Similar situation. Not sure if any of Jose’s targets will sign, but the fact that the club is looking to bring in players that the last manager wanted to sign shows that it’s amateur hour here still.

There is also the issue of not being able to move players on (Sanchez and Rojo, for example), and potentially blocking players that don’t want to be here (De Gea and Pogba) . Selling Lukaku adds another complication, as that leaves us without a proven goal scorer in the squad.

Lukaku has shown he scores goals in a team that creates chances and people are desperate to sell if and buy a shiny toy.
Very few players out there will score goals in a team that isn't playing well.

Jred that's because we have a poor squad that's finished 6th 3 times in 6 seasons.
There is half a dozen who could excel in a top team the rest wouldn't get near a top team regular starting spot.
The squad is poor in depth in every single position and in 4 or 5 positions are 1st choice is very average.
So a few have decided that they need to leave for big clubs.
We need to sell to build again.
We need to do this because we need more balance.
I agree pogba can't excel with the partners he has.
Id be in favour of keeping him but only if we buy players that compliment him and he only should be kept if he wants to stay.
If he wants to go sell him.
