I really don't know what to make of the Bale rumours and I don't know if I'd want him here.

He is a world class game changer, no doubt. He's a potential role model for the younger players and would hopefully make Rashford and co realise that they aren't all that.

Having said that, he does have injury issues. Managed properly though and that lessens somewhat.

There seems to be no way back for him at Madrid, and he's never truly settled. We are realistically the only team that could afford him.

Sanchez and Lukaku to go with Bale coming in? Potentially playing in a free role behind Rashford?

{Ed004's Note - I would only want him on a loan with an option to buy which Im not sure why Madrid would accept. Purely because he would be a stop gap on the right side until we can persuade Sancho to sign next season. However his wages are a massive concern as we already have a problem with contract negotiations atm}

I think there could be a huge wage surplus soon. Big clear out on the way.

{Ed004's Note - But we are struggling to get players signed to wages atm without overpaying already, Shaw, Martial and De Gea etc}

Well the latest comments from both zidane and bale were interesting.

{Ed004's Note - Zidanes were but Bales are made up quotes}

Bale settled incredibly well in Madrid. So well that he gets quite annoyed when the whole football thing gets in the way of his golfing and other cultural pursuits.

You’d think we’d have learned our lesson with Sanchez, but I’m sure Big Ed will be googled eyed at the big name. But for our fans to honestly think signing Bale is in any way a good idea is beyond dumb.

I can imagine him saying something along those lines though.
