Ander Herrera is replaceable. Decent enough player who left everything out on the pitch. The outcry I've seen though is ridiculous, he made the decision to leave. All this nonsense about United in his heart etc. he's a Spanish lad who would give 100% to which ever team he pulls the shirt on for, simple as that. Likeable bloke though.

For me the concern is that he is one of only a handful of first team players who appears to have the right mentality.

With a squad devoid of hard workers with that give all mentality, losing one of the few who had it does feel like a blow.

Certainly, from a talent view Herrera can be replaced. However, most would agree our most pressing need with our squad isn't talent, but players with the right attitude. Ander was one of those, losing him means we have one less in the squad.

Replacing the player isn't a problem.

The problem is that we no longer have an exciting future proposition as a club to retain our better players.

Reqlly sad to se ehim leave. I wouldve got rid of everyone bar DeGeq before him. He will be a huge loss.

Can't say I'm bothered that Herrera is leaving. So what that he runs around a bit?

Not good enough quality to help us win trophies.

He has more heart then 90 percent of players in the team.

Shappy, Ole needs to rebuild this squad from top to bottom. That means buying/ promoting players and instilling that correct attitude.
You need to remember though, for all his badge kissing and hard running, he’s still leaving for more money. He didn’t sign a new contract and has decided to move on.
I won’t be sad or pleased to see him go. All I think is he’s replaceable both in terms of desire and most certainly in quality.

2toms, The money may well have been a factor, or the club not offering him a deal until he had less than 6 months left might have left him feeling undervalued.

Ole does need to rebuild, and an older head with the right attitude would have been useful as a leader in the dressing room. Ander would have been perfect in that regard.

But it isn't to be. So we move on.
