I came across this earlier, I thought I'd share it.

Buy young players - "No we need experienced players"

Buy older/ experienced players - "No, we need fresh blood not some finished players"

Expensive (£100m+) signing - "Don't want these overpaid mercenaries"

Make a cheap signing like James (who can be more talented) - "How can you trust some garbage championship player! "

Modern football for you. Here people who barely can manage their own homes will tell you about running a £3 billion club.

Agree10 Disagree0

Very true MH. I just read on the other page that we gamble with transfers.

Yet we’ve mostly signed established players for high fees with links to rival clubs, for the past 5 years.

It’s amazing how polarised some perspectives are, but it’s also the reason sites like this exist.

So so true unfortunately. I said something similar the other day, although in my own expansive half a page sort of way. This sums it up a little more succinctly.

I think our fans have allowed the disappointment of our season and our current predicament to affect how they view everything connected to the club. We had nearly three years of a manager who would publicly constantly find fault with our club, he helped foster a negative atmosphere around the club, which it appears we are now struggling to escape from.

Ultimately it is down to the individual, no amount of negative thoughts or opinions will change a damn thing. Likewise no amount of positive thoughts or opinions will change how the club is run either. However, one train of thought will make you happier. If you want to be happy then work on trying to focus your thoughts on the positives. Because your negative miserable attitude will only drag you deeper into that black hole.

I am more than aware that hiring Ole could blow up in our faces. The three previous managers have proven that there is no guarantees.

However, Ole is one of us, he loves the club like we do, he talks about the club in a positive manner, there is a good chance we will clear the decks and bring in players better suited, there is already talk about a change in transfer policy, we have some fantastic young talents just waiting for a chance to prove themselves.

We are at a new beginning, and we have so much we can be positive about. If we choose to be. Of course it could just be another false dawn. But negativity never accomplished anything. Do you hear Pep or Klopp being negative? Or Pochettino? Or any successful person in any field? No, because it holds you back.

Good post mad hatter.

Signings like James excite me. Nice for us to be doing that kind of business. I hope he is a success.
