Fantastic well done Tottenham. I confess I cheered when their third went in just for their most fantastic second half effort.

Just shows what a strategy and progressive managers can do. Add Spurs to City and Liverpool ahead of us.

We should have been all over Pochettino.

Why on earth would he come to us?

08 May 2019 22:06:02
Spurs, City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Leicester, Wolves and Everton will all be ahead of us.

That wasn't strategy or progressive football. It was hoofball. Effort and desire was what won out.

Don’t underestimate the pull we have even now, but we have a manager and must now accept what we are given by the club. We must be very grateful.

Didn’t want Poch did we really? 😂.

That was the never say die that SAF ensured his players had. Spurs played great football in a style the manager set out from when he joined the club.

It was good management to motivate his players for that second half and to bring on Llorente who held up the ball and allowed pressure to build until Ajax cracked. Yes it was route one but last time I looked it the letters on the Champions League spelt out the winners not how they won.

City top of the league
Spurs Liverpool ucl final
Arsenal Chelsea highly likely europa finalists
Utd - 6th but we have ole at the wheel.

You watch, Leeds will get promotion through the playoffs next 🤦‍♂️.

You used to dismiss Poch on here as a possible Utd manager, and those of us who thought he would be a good manager, for not having won a trophy. A winning CV was everything. Now we should have been all over him?

Some Managers develop, some don’t, the timing wasn’t right after SAF or Moyes but I did say on here that when LvG went, what 3 years ago and before Mourinho arrived that Pochettino was a dark horse candidate. When Mourinho was sacked I wanted a proper review of the situation before a decision was made and Poch should have been included in that process, as well as Allegri. What I saw last night is something SAF drove into his teams, particularly in 99 was the never give up attitude. You know after Moyes I wanted Klopp but we went in a different direction, I just felt after Mourinho we needed someone vibrant and Poch looks to have real potential.
