Amorim is a likeable guy but I have little confidence in him. In fairness, he inherited a squad with a lot of flaws. But the facts remain: (1) The 3-4-2-1 has not worked, and he has shown no tactical flexibility, which has made us easy to prepare for. (2) His man-management has not made a difference. The players have not displayed any real passion throughout the season, with their running or combativeness or desire.
(3) The results have been awful, no need to elaborate.

His defenders can object, and say he inherited a team not suited to his tactics. But at least defensively, a manager ought to be able to drill a team so that it is hard to break down. A good manager ought to give his players a clear plan, inspire them to play hard, and get them to produce some results.

So easy to jump on this system bandwagon, everyone knows exactly how city going to play, everyone knows how Madrid going to play, How Barcelona going to play, they have a style and say this is us beat us if you can, so I have no problem with RA trying to achieve the same, of course those clubs players are light years ahead of ours, I am surprised that you can’t see the direction or style that’s trying to be implemented, which is there for all to see, but if you not got people who can hit the back of the net regularly and GK who can keep it out, with the help of good CBs along with a good engine room, your doomed and we have NONE of the above…. I have said all along, 2 good strikers need bringing in, a Proper GK a proper commanding CB
People on here bang on about DeLigt being class Martinez being good Garnacho and Mainoo, they need to take the specs off this season shows they are not good enough….
Someone even defended Ugarte who is woeful that Amorim starts him in all the big games, how that go!

all this debating of what we should be doing stick or twist will work itself out. We will get 5/ 6 new faces in given the departures and gaps in the squad but he will still get himself sacked before midpoint next season. I am not advocating for his sacking but he will do it to himself unfortunately. He knows only one way and that's his flaw.

Its a boring, poor brand of football he advocates and tactically not sure what I watch every week and can only go on for so long before he loses a large majority of the fans. Football is simple figure out how to win.

I think many are missing the simple point that he has been in charge 2/ 3 season and we have looked awful and really no signs of progress and most players gone backwards.

Doesn’t matter how good man management is if squad is woeful, especially if your goalkeeper is totally unreliable and your only fit CF can’t hit a barn door. Our defence is lethargic so has to sit deep, our players are for the most part lazy, weak physically, weak mentally and seriously overpaid which hypes their own delusions of brilliance.

Pep would have failed with this squad. So would SAF and Sir Matt.

It’s ludicrous that everybody says Rangnick was right about the club YET we should still sack one of the brightest managers around who agrees with him.

The scattered stupidity in our fan base never ceases to amaze me.

Exactly Ed. this group have lost 14 and 18 games in the league the last 2 seasons playing 2 different systems


When was the last time we had a positive goal difference at the end of a season?


Whe Amorim said we were playing like the worst Man Utd side in history he wasn’t wrong…

This lot should be embarrassed and I’m glad we’ve no champs football imagine these lot with their increased pay from qualifying.
