As the Amorim out campaign gathers momentum the doubters remain deafly silent on the owners and decisions makers responsible for this malaise.

Of course this is covering old ground but it's worth remembering before we castigate Amorim how we arrived at this destination. They undermined EtH by openly interviewing other candidates for his job whilst he was still in post, they then lavished over £200m on a manager they didn't really want only to sack him a few months later. They then appointed a new manager with a completely different approach, with a unique style of play, clearly not compatible with the majority of the current playing squad. Let's not even get started on the Ashworth debacle, the redundancies, financial mismanagement or the debt!

Why are we blaming Amorim? We know he has a unique style, we know he doesn't have the correct profile of players, the wing backs the No10's etc? We know he's doesn't have a CF or a competent GK! Hojlund was firing blanks last season and was dropped for the cup final and Onana was throwing in his fair share of clangers and contributing to sacking the manager than bought him.

This is not Amorims mess and why some are shocked that he can't turn Hojlund into prime R9 or Onana into Gordon Banks is a mystery with an obvious answer . they are not very good, for those seeking the solution.

If some have lost faith in Amorim already, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, this is just a polite reminder that those charged with appointing his replacement probably don't know what they're doing either. Let's try and be better than the imbeciles that run our Club and understand that if you choose to appoint a manager that plays a particular brand of football it's always beneficial to make sure you have the right players or make a commitment to acquire better ones!

{Ed025's Note - great post DLIB..

Totally agree. He’s brought in 1 player. He needs at least 2 transfer windows then let’s see where we are. Fergie or Pep couldn’t get a tune out of Hojlund. The standard of most of our players is abysmal. We have no pace and are physically miles off it.

Post of the decade ???.

Exactly, and the 1 player we did sign was a cheaper player who we hope will be good in the future.

That's a good post, I am rooting for Amorim and don't want him sacked but that doesn't mean some of his decisions can't be questioned. I'm sure he reflects and questions his choices himself at times.

As always, a great post DLIB. Of course, the club has been a mess and those above should answer the serious questions.

But, prime r9 and Gordon banks aside. 6 wins in 25? 16th in the table, sub 40 points. He may not have the ideal players to suit his style, but this return is nearly indefensible. Many other managers has gone into lesser clubs and managed lesser sides and have seen far better progression in their play and points tally.

We were told that it was mainly a coaching issue, but we have gone backwards since the appointment.

I'm not calling for his head, far from it, because maybe this is just a terrible terrible blip. But I am hearing excuse after excuse after excuse and I do fear allowing him to build a squad when he can't even get the best out of these.

That's a fabulous post and I couldn't agree more DLIB.

Yesterday was a big disappointment and the first team squad remains a mess of the ownership and several manager's making.

Yesterday, the first 20 mins were ok, but the lack of attacking drive and chance creation (just putting the ball in the box) was striking. I don't know why really in the light of RA's comments post match comments, but it felt like they were scared to cross, even though there were two left footed players on the left and we had plenty of possession. I was also puzzled by RA starting Amad at right wing back on his first start after injury and both goals came from confusion down that flank.

But, as DLIB notes, this is mostly on the owners, not RA (every manager makes hundreds of choices in the run up and during a game and they don't always work out) . I have seen enough this season to think that it will improve and we need to keep pressing on and supporting the team and RA.

One of the things not noted about the difference in performance level from Thursday to Sunday is that OT rocks on Thursdays and is like a garden party on Sunday. That's not the only difference - the general quality of the premiership is the highest I can ever recall team by team, excepting the bottom 3 - but it is significant. Both the team and the crowd seem to shrink into their shell at the first sign of adversity.

DLIB, you win the internet for a week. Brilliant post. If the imbeciles don't fully back RA, or worse, sack him, I for one will seriously question my allegiance to the club. I cannot possibly support anybody else, so if this option is forced upon me, football will become a thing of the past. We MUST support RA!

They will back RA they have to and so they should, he will get there if given the time, although it worries me that SJR will try cover his a*** see Jose been made favourite for a return.

I am keen supporter of RA and hope he turns the mess around, my only concern is that if Dorgu his only signing is a sign of things to come that’s a worry, because he don’t look great!

Heaven looked good in games he played, YES, if your saying he was Great, then we really do have a lower benchmark then I thought. Use some reality please!
