To all the nay sayers on Amorim and 343.
The squad itself proved inability to perform at 433 under previous managers so why do you think that would make any difference?
You can put the blame at his feet but ultimately you need to look at the dross we have in the squad.

As far as I’m concerned, bringing Amorim in means you are committed to his system.
Last summer, West Ham and Liverpool both considered appointing him. Both decided against it because they were unconvinced that his approach would work in the EPL.
When ETH was sacked, Ashworth advised against appointing Amorim for the same reason. The squad was built to play some variety of 4-3-3, and changing to a completely system halfway through the season would be a recipe for disaster. Amorim himself wanted to take charge after the season ended. Why? Because that would give time for players to learn how his system works, and a transfer window to bring in some players that suit it.
Rathcliffe and Berrada ignored all this. They wanted to make a statement appointment immediately. What we are seeing now is the net result of this decision. The sporting director they chased was sacked. The players are struggling to adapt to what their new manager wants. The club hasn’t been able to sign players that fit the new system. And the manager is being put under increased pressure to be more flexible.
I’m impressed that Amorim hasn’t capitulated like ETH did. He has a very specific way that he wants his team to play. He believes in this, and has stuck to his guns. However, he has been placed in a very difficult position. I’m unsure if we’ll ever get a chance to see if his system works in this league. Even if he gets more time, and better suited players during the summer window, a lot of damage has already been done. This damage is self-inflicted. Ratcliffe and Berrada made the decision to ignore advice, and pressured Amorim to take the job before he wanted it. This is their fault, and I’m becoming more and more convinced that Ineos are not a significant improvement over the Glazer’s and their cronies.

Absolutely. Something on slysports yesterday asking everyone on their opinions on Amorim.
Then today a main story based on peoples opnions from yesterday!
He's been in the job what months?
There is just an avalanche of negativity towards all areas and people at the club everyday that it's becoming a little sickening.
Is it even possible that other clubs pay/ employ people for negative media towards a club?
Does make me wonder sometimes.

There will be protests over the weekend and the glazer spin merchants will be trying to make out it's because of amorim. They have teflon shoulders and the blame will always shift to someone else.
SJR enabled these grifters to stay for longer, the pressure was mounting and they presented a release valve. Feels like it is building back again.

why is it so surprising he is starting to get a lot of negative press. He can't win a damn game against any decent pl team. We suck and this system is making us a lot worse. Even with more new players in the summer I am not convinced he is going to make it.
We have never been this bad since Fergie under any manager. Many got sacked for less so he is going to get heat until he wins games. problem is now we have a brutal remaining fixture list but Leicester away and if we lose that I would not be surprised.
I posted last week our remaining fixture list and thought we would do well to win 3 which included Ipswich tie. I am more inclined to think we will win one more game from here till the end of the season.

It’s FA to do with any form of SYSTEM! The players we have couldn’t beat anybody with ANY system. They’re pro’ footballers for goodness and should be able to adapt to whatever. They just aren’t anywhere near as good as they think they are. Jeez stop banging on about ‘system’.

Ffs man, utd will win more than 1 game for crying out load ?♂️I've been down but utd will probably win a few surprises and lose against Leicester. they'll end up on around 48 points.

Daft talk.
United won 1.2 pints per game in the 1st 9 games before eth was fired.
We won no euro games.
Since ra took over he had won the exact same 1.2 points per game. But won his euro games.
Never ombre in his tenure dogs erh only have 14 snr players to chose from.
Never did he have to pay 3 teenagers in a game nexus if availability.
It's not pretty right now but a good pre season and a few signings will make sbig difference.
It's nothing to do with the system.
We are doing equally as when it was 433.
We have been a lot worse. No 5 nil or 7 nil hidings.
Beaten city beaten arsenal not got hammered by Liverpool. So we have beaten good epl teams.
It's disappointing but not wholly surprising. Worst squad assembled over last 3 years terrible buys. Onana. Anthony rasmus casimero even the purchase of martinez maguire zirkzee. Hopefully the recruitment will improve this summer and we can shed some of the dross brought in.
This season has been awful but the previous and current manager averaging 1.2 points per game each.
Both with negative goal difference.
The players are shockingly unfit. Unathletic. It's been that way for 5 or 6 seasons.
Let's see what happens between now and end of season.
Hope we show a little improvement although it's no certainty imo.

Systems my arse…. This team is dogged by awful buys by ETH and more so by terrible decisions by SJR
If you look at what ETH done in his 3 years it amounts to FA but make the team is a much more awful position than it was and half a billion poorer too
I would honestly say not 1 signing of ETH era is any good, I said it on every signing but told Onana would be so good, Rasmus will get bundles Antony will roast full backs CBs are so good even the midget CB would out muscle everyone, how is all that going!
Have any view you like on the buys or the running of club or past managers
But blaming a system is nonsense and just an easy target…. and very childish but seems the media back on about something and all the little lambs of 2025 followers…blame the system. my arse.

Well done to Amorim for sticking to his guns, his beliefs. If he listened to Ahmad we would win a few games then the players would think hey it doesn’t matter what the manager wants, we can get it changed.
This whole situation has to change right now, this is the heart surgery and Amorim is starting it. No point moaning about results, the ethos the core of the club has been totally rotten for years because we haven’t had any direction. Ole couldn’t stand up against the players, tried a little and got sacked, ETH brought in utter dross, could not stick to his principles of style and that cost him. So now some, Ahmad being one, wants RA to dumb down on his principles to please the players, maybe win a couple of games. Short termism at best
We have needed this and I like RA principles. It is the way.

I liked his comments today, with regards to focusing on the medium term as the priority. Winning the europa league is a short term goal but not the main priority.
Trying to build something sustainable from the bottom up. They have a plan and strategy that he appears comfortable with and to be part of. That's music to my ears if the club are thinking that way. I really hope they are.
Thinking sort term is what drives rash drives rash decision making quite often. When so hamstrung by psr we can't afford more shortism mistakes. Having a 3 year plan and seeing that through is vital.
Perhaps he is also trying to remove some pressure from the players and himself for Thursday.
It's quite clear he doesn't believe in some players he has and some of them don't believe in him. That's quite normal. He knows we have to soldier on this season and try to do as well as we can
He might have been
I think united winning this comp is a long shot as we're not playing well enough but scrape through this tie and with a couple of players back you never know. The best teams don't always win cups and poorer ones often do. They are not in the best of form either so I'm hopeful we can get through this round. He has had better results in this competition so it might happen.
I think antony rashford lindelof erikson Evans casimero all know they will not be united players next season. Maguire mdl (one of of the 2 will leav) Shaw mount rasmus zirkzee garnacho onana are all under threat. By either their choice or the clubs. So getting the most out of them isn't easy.
