Not a fan of the "inverted" fullbacks either then, Ed? Seems to cause more problems than it solves. Not sure why so many teams are suddenly adopting it.

{Ed001's Note - I hate them Sepp. They do not work imo. Overcomplicated idea to try and make a coach look like they are smarter than other coaches.}

Just play 343 with two holding midfielders with one licence to defend higher up the pitch, to meet the counter as this is what the system is trying to protect

Or use John Stones like Pep did which is exactly what Rinus Michaels did with Ajax in the 70s with his CBs.
