Ed001. How's things mate? What's your thoughts on all things United at the minute?

Can this squad be salvaged? Do you think if the bad results continue that the Glazers may start to feel the pressure to sell?

{Ed001's Note - apart from man flu I am great thanks mate. It is certainly always good for a laugh what is happening around United at the moment and they say laughter is the best medicine!

I have to be honest, all joking aside, this is a terrible mess that will take years to fix. The problem is that ten Hag seems out of his depth right now. He has not quite got to grips with the Prem yet and his choices for recruitment are not ones that will add the fight that you are missing. The only way this has a chance of working is if they do what the board did with Fergie. They have to stand behind even if results are not going well, and let him completely rip the squad apart. There may not be the drinking culture there was, but the players have the wrong attitude. I am not sure though if ten Hag is the right man. Sticking with Maguire is a worry. He is a big part of the problems at the club on the field. I would have expected him to take more risks with the youth players and give more of them a chance. He has nothing to lose at the end of the day, but he can prove a point by dropping the big names.

As for the Glazers, they will only feel under pressure if gates drop and revenue dips. Otherwise it is just a nice little cash cow for them to milk.}

Man flu! Wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.

I would like to think the line has well and truly being crossed now with the fans and the owners but I'm afraid a couple of good results and the heat will be off. I wrote a few days ago that the season ticket holders need to boycott games. Having a half empty stadium would certainly send a message. They are becoming culpable witnessing this first hand.

This mess is going to take years to fix but the owners havnt even been able to solve short term issues never mind long term ones. It's depressing to say the least.

{Ed001's Note - an empty stadium is the only message that owners like the Glazers understand.}

It's a case of when EtH finds his man bits and drops those under performin replacing them with the kids. 8 wins in 26 competitive games this calender year shows what needs to happen, that is relegation form.

You say if season ticket holders stay away it will help
Maybe but the leeches have already had the revenue off them
The only thing it does is it brings it more in the spotlight and doesn’t look good to sponsors.

Ed001 you mentioned EtH sticking with Maguire - I also think that DDG adds to the whole team being nervous too. The cost of replacing them both would be significant - are the club looking to replace and sell?
Thanks.

{Ed001's Note - not that I am aware of no.}
