ETH finds himself in a hole, how he reacts will be telling. He is publicly slating the players, nothing wrong with his tactics, no sir, just the players being too crap to follow instructions.

It's an interesting approach but after 2 games he finds himself under immense pressure, so not sure it is going to work.

I think he has massively underestimated what managing in the EPL means.

I'm also gobsmacked that we have signed who he asked for, even when we weren't considering them. There were a number of CBs on our list, Martinez wasn't one of them, and I'll guarantee Malacia wasn't on any list either.

Things may be bad now, but that doesn't mean we haven't stopped falling yet.

I think he needs to move to three at the back. That negates some of the height issues, and would really benefit Malacia. Plus it allows the likes of Rashford and Sancho to play higher up the pitch without needing to track back.

If we pulled the thumb out and bought a legitimate holding player to sit alongside Eriksen, a 5-3-2 could work. I just think the defence and midfield isn’t strong enough to play with two at the back with two wingbacks.

He's lost 2, if he loses 2-3 more he will get the sack
De Boer has gotten it.
For Liverpool game if I was Ten Haag none of the XI that started I would start against liverpool, it's going to be a cricket score no matter who plays, first team or the bench players.
If they fail they fail, but what if they go on and give Liverpool a real game.

The following is a quote from Ten Hag about guardiola

"Only once in his career has Pep made a mistake – in his first year at Manchester City when he completely underestimated the power and speed of the Premier League, " Ten Hag said in 2020.

"He realised that you can't play the kind of football he loves without having a couple of physically strong athletes – and so he brought them in. So he's not a stubborn coach. Yes, he is stubborn in his philosophy, but not in the execution. And that makes him the best. "

He points out the mistake Guardiola made early on, but then goes and buys a 5" 9' centre half himself .

Publicly slating the players. Where have i seen that before? Perhaps a tactic applied by the much maligned Jose, who in fact was right.

Rabiot is the solution to the set piece issue with martinez height. He had a similar approach at Ajax. Fred was the man this weekend and obviously it didn’t work.

Sidenote: its hilarious to see so many flapping after 2 games about Ten Hag. You deserve all this that goes on when you have no patience. Like spoilt brats.
Ten Hag might not be the man, but not giving him a chance is a joke.

Judging the manager on the back of 2 games is a joke.

You're right, he's had an amazing impact, nothing to see here.

I'm not giving up on him, I'm suggesting he has underestimated the EPL and has had a rude awakening.

AJH

same camp. I say show me first before I am a believer. The same useless, incompetent, clueless owners and management according to everyone here appointed him. so far based on transfers and play I give him a 1/ 10 score.

Getting your a. s kicked at city or Liverpool is one thing but getting completely outplayed, out coached by Brentford and Brighton puts a big question mark on him. yes i know the squad is poor.

its a result orientated business and when you take a job like united even when rebuilding there is a minimal expectation. Hopefully we go on a run of wins starting next Monday.
