I've been critical of McTominay but he did ok tonight.
Still don't think he's a top class CM but credit where's its due (just about) .
Better than the Newcastle game on the whole but still a million miles from City and Liverpool.

McT needs to put in these performances consistently, not 1 in 10 games.
He is at his best when allowed to drive forward.
Matic beside him allowed the license to move further forward.

McT was top notch tonight, it's obvious he is reacting to instruction.

Look, it's going to take time, it's clear that they are trying to implement Ralf's ideas but after 3 years of dismal coaching, it's taking them time.

Maguire is a real problem for me. He is going to continue to be exposed given the way our team is set up, we need a stronger CB there.
