Jred, I think international tournaments still have great appeal. But the qualifying rounds and friendlies have lost all appeal. I would like them to come up with a better way to manage qualification, maybe a mini tournament in a shorter time period end of season?

Martial injured for France. Hopefully nothing serious enough to prevent us from selling him in the summer.

They didn't even do that leahy. 🤣🤣
I didn't even know some of the players playing for Ireland.
Not scored at home for 6 games. Sir stuff.
Fair play to Luxembourg they throughly deserved to win.

Jred - Harry Kane is contracted at Spurs until 2024 have I missed something?! I’d be amazed if he moved this summer! Even next summer he’d still have two years left on his contract. He’d then be 29 with a dubious injury record is anyone realistically going to pay what it takes it get him out of Spurs? I think your prophecy is along way from coming true pal!

At the risk of being controversial, I think Kane is on the decline. He looks leggy to me and has done for some time. Not sure if it’s the injuries but I wouldn’t go near him at the likely price.

Im not sure but i see where your coming from ajh to be honest. It would be a bit of an RVP signing couple of good seasons then likely to decline.
He is a great goal scorer and never relied on his pace as such.
I respect him and admire his record but I agree with you all things considered.

AJH

Kane looks a strapping centre forward but with weak ankles. That would be a worry for a big fee at his age now. Players peak at different ages, look at Rooney for example, and my sense is that Kane may have peaked so would be a risk at the price. He should have moved 18 months ago.

I think Kane has missed his chance for a big move. Great player and still a top scorer of chances. He has never relied on pace, so that won't be an issue as he gets older. But he does have a tendency to pick up ankle and knee injuries. Contesting many headers won't be helping him much in that regard either.

Over the past 6 seasons not including this season he has averaged 31 league matches per season, in the past couple of years only managing 29 and 27 league games.

He regularly misses a couple of months worth of games in a season to injury, something that isn't likely to change as he gets older.

Add to that he has a further 3 seasons left on his current deal and that Levy will only sell for absolute top dollar, its clear Kane won't be leaving Spurs anytime soon.
