There was no excuse for that performance last night.

Rotation is a must in football. But the genius managers know when to rotate their players without it affecting the momentum of the side. Ole, Again, is showing his shortfalls.

The game to rotate was against Sociedad in the 2nd leg. A nothing game. Yet, he plays Bruno etc. Everyone can see He has been running in fumes for the last 6 weeks. So it's either Ole is aware of it but insists on playing him because he is our only chance of getting a goal or he is so scared of pissing Bruno off that if Bruno says he wants to play, he plays? The only reason he didn't play yesterday from the start is because his numbers from a sport science view, are proper in the red zone.

Ole has shown his inexperience and lack of game management. We all knew what performance we were going to see as soon as the line up went out. Maguire is now a meme. A joke. You can't tell me that's 80 million worth of defender or even a captain? Valencia, who spoke no English, was a better leader than him. Fred is awful. Couldn't pass wind. Matic's legs have gone. Donny is being asked to change his game from a box to box midfielder to a number 10 and he doesn't look comfortable doing that. Pogba is barely fit but is playing for a move. And Martial. The fact that he is wearing the number 9 shirt for Manchester United sums up the state of the club. I've never seen a cf so disinterested and have no concept of how to lead a line. When to drop short, when to stretch etc. He's never in the box and for someone who wants to play through the middle, he ends up jogging towards the lw anyway. We really need to get rid of him.

A proper number 6 is needed and a Cf. We might be able to get away with the defence and rw for another season if we solve those two areas. A striker who can link the play and be a threat (Cavani 7 years ago) and a dm who can do both the jobs of Mctomminay and Fred, allowing us to play a box to box midfielder, like Donny, with Bruno in the 10. There isn't a better number 6 in the league then the man we saw last night, Ndidi. And Haaland is the obvious choice up top. Sell the deadwood, sell Pogba, DDG, Martial etc and blow the budget on them Two players in my opinion. Diallo, James, Rashford and Greenwood can all play the wide positions.

Is Fred George Weah's brother?

If he is under the slightest bit of pressure he struggles, he doesn't lift his head enough to sense the danger, yesterday's back pass was a prime example, he did not spot the blue shirt in front of him until he'd played the ball back.

He has great energy but is a target for any team we play, to harry him off the ball, I wouldn't mind if he carried a goal threat but he doesn't, he is just poor at this level.

There is a post further down the page re Ndidi, I think we should do whatever it takes to get him, if it is at all possible to turn his head.

Fred's ability on the ball is ridiculously poor. Aren't the coaching team noticing this at all?
And also he adds zero goal threat, his shots from edge of the box is just comical.

I'd go all out for Declan Rice.
We have a fantastic bargaining chip in Lingard.

James I don't believe haaland is a realistic option.
He opted for BD when he could have come to us. He knows ole well and obviously decided not to play under him again.
We are at logger heads and or have zero contact with his agent. We have messed around one of his other clients in pogba. He will have better options with clubs with better coaches and better prospects of success. They will have pockets as deep as ours for wages.
I'd take ndiddi in a heartbeat.

I would prefer Lingard back to signing Rice.
