Not the best of games but all about winning at this stage.
Never thought I'd say this but man how much have we missed Pogba, he was playing well when we went top and has picked that up straight away again, maybe he has simply matured.
Henderson again I feel comfortable with him in the sticks as I belive Maguire and Lindelof do who also played well.
Fred great in mf, I sometimes think he is better suited to Europeam football.
James, dangerous, if only he had am end product, Greenwood showed touches of class, hopefully it'll come for him.
1st half however was pretty abysmal, I wonder without the goal woukd we have petered out but we are through and in reality we should be winning this tournament from here.

WRD agree with everything but sorry Fred great. My eyes must be deceiving me. He was atrocious in the first half. He can’t pass water.

Henderson still worries me abit. Some routine saves he makes look harder than they are. Parrying the ball into dangerous places.

He offers a lot in the way of box control and communication but his shot stopping or handling is still nowhere at DDG level.

I think that DDG will be back in the team after Leicester. Ole was quite critical of Henderson after the Zlatan save saying he should have made that save a week earlier, which I thought was a surprising statement.

{Ed077's Note - well the goal last week should have been stopped by Deano. It was a clear mistake costing a goal in my eyes, nothing harsh. But Deano did have a good game last night though.}

Fred was the best player on the pitch. Closely followed by lindelof.

Fred had a good second half but he was utter dross first half. The introduction of pogba made him look better as we had more control with the ball. MOTM for me was easily Lindelof.

Fred massively improved in the second half.

He was making me shout at the TV in the first, seemed like every other pass was wayward and he kept giving the ball away.

Once the ball playing duties were taken up by Pogba and Bruno started getting more touches, meaning Fred had to do lots less passing, the good parts of his game shone, he was tenacious and broke up play well.

A bit of a Jekyll and Hyde performance for us but not the first time that's been the case this season.

I apologise for my abysmal spelling in my OP. I should correct and say Fred was great in the 2nd half is what I meant.
