"The progress made by Ole and the players this season is clear and our thriving Academy and Women's team are also adding to the optimism we feel about the future on and off the pitch, " Ed Woodward 4th March.

There you have it OGS haters. Looks like he's sticking with him.

Unless the sky falls in it was almost a certainty they would.

It's evident the position in the table matters much more than the actual performances on the pitch for Woodward but it's for the media news and being a business guy he knows what to say.

Would take anything said about football in the conference calls with a pinch of salt.

But the main thing is that broadcast revenue was up considerably vs last year, shows how important champions league football is, as long as any manager fulfils that remit, they'll be safe.

Also we gained loads of followers on TIKTOK, that's basically the equivalent of a 21st domestic league title.

It tells you that Woodward is a very financially driven person, from a Finance perspective there is progress as it appears we will be in the top four. Top four brings the cash cow of the Champions League and enables Woodward to pay the dividends, otherwise he himself may be in trouble.

It highlights the aims of the club, what we have become, the Glazers cash cow where winning isn’t the number one priority any more.

It was likely written weeks ago when things were brighter before the manager oversaw the latest bust in the cycle. There again you could also say it sounded like a vote of confidence in Ole and that is often not good

Talking to fellow United fans there is no longer any support for Ole, if the idiots at the club extend his contract, perhaps even keep him next season they are starting to kill off interest in the club, it really is that bad. People pay subscriptions to specifically watch and after recent dross the feelings are they are not going to next season if Ole is in charge. Woodward needs to think long and hard about this.

I smell a new contract incoming for Ole if Woodward sees "clear" progress.

Woodward doesn't understand football, but he does understand results.

If we get the results (top four) then nothing else matters. Simple as that.

Never a doubt. the board are driven by money not success. Getting that champions league revenue is all that matters. although would u bank on us getting top 4? I wouldn’t.

Woodward was also quite excited about United's thriving presence on Tik Tok. A sad day when the only excitement from being a United fan is off the pitch not on it.
