If ed002 is about and available can you shed any light on the situation between inter and united regarding payment for lukaku. It's reported in the paper that inter have missed a payment and now United are looking a large sum paid up or a player in compensation. Don't trust anyone but you in these areas so if you have any knowledge you could share I'd appreciate it.

Or do they have to come up with a payment plan that is acceptable to those clubs.

Martinez is the only player I’d take from that inter side. He looks real quality.

Other players I like from their team are Hakimi, Nicolo Barella and Brozovic.

Tbh Ed I find about 90% of centre halves who are very good on the ball tend to be rubbish without it these days! I think there’s a real lack of top centre halves out there.

Caolan, for the most part I agree. I think it comes down to this obsession of having ball playing CBs. A lot of them start out as midfielders who grew tall and broad so they get shoved into defence.

The art of defending, of reading the game, of knowing when to tackle and when to stand off, when to apply just enough pressure without fouling to limit what the opposition can do. All of it has gone out the window for the most part.
