I have to admit I wasn’t an advocate for signing grealish last summer but as of recent we’ve seen how hard it is for us to break down low block teams. Assuming pogba leaves and dvb also, I am very much the other side of the fence now. I think grealish would be perfect for us right now depending the cost. Against harder to break down teams him in a three with Bruno and hopefully a new signing at dm he would help a lot. He could also cover lw throughout the season with perhaps rashford central or right. Cavani I think will get another season so it would work. Rashford has a mean cross on his right. Or even greenwood right rash central and grealish left. 442 diamond too he would fit. Bruno a bit deeper alongside mctominay and someone to hold. It’s clear to see we need another creative player. Open to discussion what you lads reckon?

I think Grealish could also add an option on the right. Plenty of times I've seen him pop up on the right during games and play fantastic passes and crosses from there, I've become convinced that he could play on the right just as effectively as the left.

He also seems like a player who can be shuffled around different positions without suffering as much as a lot of players do.

He would of been a great addition imo.

He's absolutely brilliant. He would of been perfect for United.

No doubt he's been in excellent form this season, following on from a strong finish to last season keeping Villa in the EPL.

I'm still not convinced he would be a good signing for us. His cost would be sky high and I'm not sure where he fits into the first 11.

He can't play on the right and we shouldn't be looking to spend big to put a square peg in a round hole.

He plays best either as a No.10 or from the left so would need to push Bruno or Rashford out of the side.

While his off field antics and ego is a concern, while the thought about whether he is more suited to being a big fish in a small pond or whether he can step up still remain.

Very good player, can he step up and is there a place in our side without shifting players out of position are the issues.

I think this summer I think CB and CDM are the most important new signings, we then need a creative player who plays primarily from the RW. Then I'd consider a striker if the budget can stretch, yet the reality is a CB would likely cost 40-60m, a CDM a similar amount. RW anywhere between 30-70m depending whether we look for a cheaper player with potential rather than a top end player like Sancho.

Grealish would be an excellent option due to his versatility, close-control, dribbling and vision.
Only hiccup is the price tag. It must have risen humongously now.

However, my ideal window would be 2 top class CB's and a CDM.
Pau Torres, Upamecano and Rice would be the dream.
Fix the backline so that our front line can express themselves and it would also help us to play with just 1 CDM instead of 2.

He's been really good this season but I'm not sure where he fits either.

We need a DM desperately - but the amateurs will likely sign another AM/ LW to stack on top of Bruno, VDB, Rashford and Martial.

I think we need to be looking at CB, DM and RW before we even consider Grealish.

I think Grealish is maybe a luxury that we can't afford to buy in the summer as improving other areas would have a bigger impact.
My priorities would a RW to provide balance to the attack. Hopefully Amad can step up to save having to buy another, a CB with pace who can stay fit, read the game and organise a defence. Then a CM, not necessarily a special-ist DM, but someone who can do that job if required. I think Bissoumma from Brighton could be immense - the closest to a prime Kante I've seen in a while.

Grealish can play left right or 10 the lad is a top player .
Last season there was 2 camps on here grealish or DVB personally it was grealish all day long for me he is a far better player .
Would do even better in a top team as well imo, move movement etc but also at the moment teams set up to stop greslish do that when he is playing for united or City it just gives move room for KDB or bruno.
I said last season the lads has all the attributes, we get a big move soon.

Offer martial plus £50m for Grealish.

My dream summer says 2 defenders one holding like Zakaria and one central midfielder like Bissouma although i know that is not going to happen. In defence i would sell Jones Bailly and Maguire. In the center Pogba is going to leave and maybe Donny will leave too. So we will take some money back and if its viable then look at rw. Maybe the rw position is not so urgent now with Diallo and Greenwood, Greenwood improved a lot his all round game and for me is performing better than Rashford and Martial. I would stay clear of any player likes diving.

Herrera, I think we are on a similar page, Ideally I'd like to see two CB's, a CDM and creative player who predominantly plays RW but could play No.10 or LW if needed.

Personally I think Williams should be given more game time to try and push AWB at RB. So I think we don't think we need to sign a back up RB immediately. Same for CF. With Cavani at the club and Greenwood coming through I think that is a position we can delay signing someone for.

I'd love us to sign Kounde, Botman or Badieshilie, Rice or Ndidi and Buendia or Neto.

I would maybe go to Torres Kounde partnership, although Kounde is too short for Premier. They are two good ball playing defenders with pace. Konate is another one who is very good but i think he has a lot of injuries. Then two at the centre, one holding and one box to box. Rice and Bissouma seem perfect in paper but i am not so sure about Rice, maybe Zakaria? At right back there are Williams and Tuanzebe who provide cover . Neto must be in the mix i agree and Sancho if he is so good and price go down a little.

I don't think Kounde's height would be too much of a problem in the EPL. He has good strength and pace, while his positioning is excellent.

He wins a lot of headers in La Liga due to him being in the right position and his excellent leap and timing. I've seen him out jump much taller players to win the ball.

To be honest it's hard to go wrong with signing a French CB atm. So many good ones that Varane's international place is under threat. Upamecano and Konate at Leipzig, Kounde, Kimpembe, Umtiti, Zouma, Lenglet, Pavard, Hernandez, Laporte, Diop, Saliba, Fofana, Zagadou, Ndicka, Sarr, Badiashile, Todibo, Niakhate, Le Normand and Kamara make 22 centre backs who would be in the squad for most international sides at any world cup. Also 9 of them are left footed. Ridiculous levels of quality in that area of the pitch.

I think Kounde could have a bigger impact in the EPL than Fofana is having this season. Our biggest problem is poor reading of the game. That is one of Kounde's strengths, along with pace and an ability to play left or right as he is fairly two footed for a defender.

I like Pau Torres, I just wonder about his build, tall but a little slight for the EPL. He doesn't seem to have the same core strength that Kounde has.

Ideally I'd sign both of them. They'd make an excellent partnership.

Thats my thoughts Shappy. I think Torres and Kounde would make a good partnership but not going to happen. Kounde at 1.78 (? ) will have some problems in the air i think no matter how high he can jump but overall he is very good.
