If we are to get another player in midfield after selling Pogba, who would be your pick from these players?

Rice, Kalvin-Philips, Camavinga, Ndidi? (or any other)

I really like Phillips. Rice is growing on me. Dream would be Saul.

Out of those four Phillips would be my choice, but Rice is certainly a very good option as well. Camavinga I think will end up elsewhere, and I like Ndidi but I'm not convinced his more limited passing is good enough for top side.

douglas luiz from aston vila. he's showing himself to be a very good midfielder at aston villa

In fact sign douglas luiz, mcginn and grealish from villa in a triple swoop.

Surely he has to be replaced with Saul Ed001?

{Ed001's Note - that would make the most sense to me scholes. Saul is top class.}

Saul would be phenomenal, could you imagine a midfield three of Saul, Donny and Bruno. It would be the best midfield in the league, with Bruno and Saul being 26 and in their prime and Donny 23 and improving.

Sadly I don't see it happening, but my god it would be amazing if it did.

It's not about the individual players, we have some great players, its about getting them to play as a team Shappy, actually press a team when they don't have the ball.
A team is usually defined as greater than the sum of its parts, not sure what you call a team that is less than the sum of its parts.

Grim, I 100% agree that a team should be greater than the sum of its parts. However, you also need the right blend of players to get the best out of each other. Players who fill niches in the team, who cover for each others weaknesses and who play to each others strengths.
