I think bringing laird into the squad now spells the end for Dalot. It will be interesting to see if laird gets any game time as dalot hasn't featured in the league yet.

I really like Dalot, he is an exciting player and is probably the best crosser of the ball we have at the club. Yet, injuries have really let him down and stopped him from being able to kick on. The situation is a little reminiscent of Rafael, a clearly talented player who can do well when he got on the pitch, yet injuries limited him early on in his career which ultimately restricted his ability to make the most of his undoubted talent.

The difference is Rafael had an ageing Neville and an almost always injured Wes Brown fighting it out for game time with him. Dalot has arguably one of the best RB's in the league who himself is only 22 in AWB, while the likes of Williams and Laird coming through both younger than him makes it very hard to see how he gets a game. Maybe a move is best for him to get the game time he needs to fulfil his potential.

Don’t think he’s good enough defensively for me, obviously that’s something he can improve on. However I don’t think he’d ever come close to wan bissaka. From what I’ve seen of laird I think he’s going to be a cracking player, but unfortunately for him he’s got wan bissaka in front of him.

I love laird have done for a couple of years. Great end product at youth level. Tenacious but a bit rah defencively.
I also like dalot hope he gets a good move if he leaves. i'd like to see him shine somewhere. Although for his age he has spent a lot of time on the injured list.
