How much do you guys think it would take to get Traore from Wolves. Watched him come off the bench against West Ham and went past players like they weren't there and he didn't even seem to be out of 2nd gear. Probably needs to score a few more goals but he looks like he's improving all the time. When he was at Middlesbrough he looked out of his depth. What a transformation.

Traore has had a phenomenal season and has made that jump from potential to realising it. For me the biggest change in his game is one of intelligence. He has always been lightening quick and fairly strong (although he has packed on muscle over the past 2 years), but its the understanding he has gained. He used to try everything at a million miles an hour, hit the cross at full speed, play the pass while still in top gear. What he's learned is once he's beaten his man he slows up slightly before playing the final ball, this gives him a second to look up and pick someone out, while its much easier to cross accurately when you and the ball are moving slower and are more under control.

He is a joy to watch. While I wouldn't be disappointed to see him line up in a United shirt, I'm not quite sure he is the right sort of winger that we need. We have raw pace in Rashford, Martial and James, but our issue is breaking down teams that sit deep. At Wolves this season Traore hasn't started every week, in certain games Nuno has started him on the bench and brought him on in the second half once the opposition has tired and the game has opened up a little.

We need a more technical dribbler for the RW, someone who can wriggle through tight spaces and deep sitting teams. The kind of player who can find a yard of space when teams don't give you and inch in behind.

That sort of winger would give us the kind of player we currently lack the the skill set we need to break down low blocks. Traore for all his ability doesn't offer a solution to our biggest offensive weakness.

To be fair to Traore Shappy I’ve seen teams put 2 or 3 men on him and he still gets the ball in. His pace is near impossible to defend. In saying that, Brandon Williams had a couple of very good games against him.

Unless he brings goals to his game I’d stay clear.

Caolan, I think he is a great player. While he does often beat 2 or 3 players with either his pace or strength. Yet he isn't nearly as effective in games where teams sit deep. Which is our main problem, so he doesn't really solve that issue. Which considering he would cost upward of 70m you really need him to be a player who makes a massive difference, and I'm not sure he would be. Would he improve us? Yes absolutely. Does he take us to the next level? Sadly I don't think he does.

Perfect for playing on the counter. A much stronger version of James. I've had him in my dream team from the start. Big fan. But as Shappy says, maybe not so useful against teams sitting deep. He'd have to add more to his game than just raw athleticism and a good final pass.

Didn't Utd buy James for his blistering pace? :D Sadly he's nothing more than a squad player, although he started the season well. Shouldn't be anywhere near the first team, imo.
