So we chase a player all summer then Barcelona come in with a few days left and swoop him.

The managers get sacked for not performing when do the transfer committee have there jobs on the line or do they get a free ride because it's so difficult?

I can't believe the club have allowed the team to become bare.

It just gets worse.

{Ed002's Note - No, I have explained what happened with him being offered to several other sides. There has not been any chasing, just simply no acceptable offer made.}

It’s a pretty simple situation.

United want the player.
The player wanted to come.
Sporting open to selling.
United offered well below their valuation.
When it became apparent that United weren’t perpared to do a deal, he was offered to other clubs.

The only people who seem to be struggling with this are the United recruitment team and the English media.

If BF signs for Barca, or anyone else, its all down to Woody. He hasn't a clue about signing players and messes about while other clubs get on with it. Forget in Ole, you'll get nothing while Woody is there.

{Ed001's Note - it is not all down to him at all.}

Well ed001 whoever it is down to needs to go.

Whilst we as supporters may not be privy to the inner workings of Manchester United, from the outside it does look like the football side of the business is incredibly incompetent, with nobody seeming to want to take responsibility to sort it out.

There was a newspaper article during the week that stated we have five people doing different aspects of the DoF job. The article suggested that this is a positive!

But I think it underscores the issues we have with recruitment, too many chefs and a lack of overarching direction. I don’t think Woodward is directly responsible for transfer failings, I just think that the club’s internal structures mean there is no clear lines of direct responsibility for recruitment.

Danny, Niel Ashton is Woodwards PR guy that's why it is all positive.

I heard its Dave Sextons fault, or maybe Ron Atkinsons. Then again maybe LVG or Moyes? Seems to always be the managera fault when we don't win a trophy. How about its just rubbish happens?

I know you have said that many times ed I just mean we have had more than enough time to make an acceptable offer.

We dilly dally all window trying to flex this "united" brand that is being slowly destroyed

Trying to bully teams with poor value of there players yet we price our own players out of moves

Woodward judge and who ever else is in charge of recruiting should have the same consequences as a manager that doesn't perform.

{Ed002's Note - Maybe you are blaming the wrong folk?}

Probably a few people involved in transfer process, doesn't Ed just sign off on the deals not actually negotiate them?
