Does anyone think eventually Bissaka could be a RCB in a back 3?

Brandon Williams and Ethan laird have bundles of energy and can run all day, I can see ole putting them both as regular starters eventually.

I know it is a big jump into a first team but I think Brandon Williams should be starting for me, with the way the year is going it should be the year they mould him to be a starter for next season.

I think AWB could develop into a very good RCB I also think he can develop in to an elite RB. He has the skill set and he is young enough. With the right coaching he can become a top player.

Ultimately I think it depends on how the manager and future managers want to set up. If we are going to see a lot more of three at the back then AWB will need to work very hard on his ability and decision making with the ball in the final third.

His current skill set sees him being far better at defending than attacking. Yet he was a winger for most of his youth career, he has pace and is a solid passer and dribbler. It's his final ball that needs work if he is going to be a wing back.

If he is going to be a RCB he needs to learn to not dive in so often he is excellent when he goes to ground and nearly always wins the ball. Yet defending more centrally will see him need to stand players up more often and hold them up while the calvary arrive. While he will need to improve his upper body strength and his aerial duels.

At RB he just needs to work on improving his all round game and try to take what he is already very good at to the next level. It will probably be easiest for him to continue at RB as it doesn't require him to consider the game or his role from a different perspective.

So it very much depends on what the tactics will be for the team going forwards.

Brandon Williams had an excellent game and he looks like he is ready to play at this level. He is quick, and good at both ends of the pitch. What I was most impressed with though was his decision making, picking the right moments to go forward and when to stay deeper meant he was caught out of position very often. For a 19 year old lad only playing in his second start that was very promising.

Ethan Laird is another who looks promising at youth level. He might find it harder to break into the team with AWB and Dalot already ahead of him but both only being 2-3 years older than him. He might need to go on loan to get the run of games.

Completely agree Shappy, I would also be interested to see Garner given a cm role in the next 3 years but once he has had a season on loan in championship.

It's good to have a member with some sense on here and not reactionary to every result.
