Sounds more like he is making a plea not to lose his place to one of the kids.
For me McTominay is first choice ahead of Matic now.
However, this does raise an interesting question.
Matic, Young, Romero and Mata are the experienced players in the squad.
Are any of them first choice? How old is the oldest player who you think will be first choice, and what is the average age of our current first choice eleven.

Spot on Snappy. He is subtly saying that he deserves to play because there aren't enough experienced players and he happens to ve one of them.
I m sorry for him but he right now he s too slow for Epl. He should go to a slower paced league like Serie A.
