I read down the page that we are certain to buy an "adidas icon "ie Bale as a statement to the rest but although i agree with a possible move for Bale i think the club and adidas would make more of a global impact making a certain Mr David Beckham ( soon to be sir) a club ambassador now that his MLS dream seems to have stalled

I think this whole 'United want to sign an Adidas player' is absolute rubbish. Football just doesn't work like that.

I don't really understand the claims for beckham to be knighted, services to football? Only players who get it are usually World Cup winners. Then again I'm not a massive fan of the whole royal family.

{Ed025's Note - its a load of crap anon...you can get one for farting nowadays..

I think Beckham deserves it considering everything he has done promoting football worldwide and all the work with the Olympics. Granted a knighthood isn't what it used to be, but Beckham is a superb ambassador for fooball and England as a whole.

{Ed025's Note - he is a good role model and ambassador beast, but surely a knighthood is going a bit far..well for me anyway mate..

We should take advantage of Beckham and use him how Madrid used to roll out Zidane to court potential signings. I think it could only benefit us if we had the biggest icon in the World working for our club and trying to encourage potential signings. Becks loves the club and would be a great ambassador to push our brand on and off the pitch

{Ed025's Note - he would mate..
