I wondered if the use of Collyer over the weekend was a hint that he'd be used more over the rest of the season and that other midfielders could well be on their way out.

While I think Casemiro still currently offers more than Collyer, he is a declining player on a massive wage who isn't first choice anymore. He should be allowed to move on and spend the final few years of his career playing most weeks rather than warming our bench. While Collyer will likely never reach the levels Casemiro managed, he is probably more suited to how we are looking to play under Amorim, and he is definitely on the upward trajectory.

Collyer did a decent job on Sunday, he should be used more for the rest of the season to see how he progresses.
