Good post W16. Thanks to all the eds particularly 002 over the window.
Ed002, how do you think the window has gone for united?
Obviously not perfect but do you see marked improvements in our approach and strategy over other years?
Finally where do you think we could have perhaps done things in a better way and got a different result over some summer transfer approaches or sales?
Thanks again I don't go into the other pages but I'm sure it's the same sort of Insights you give for all the supporters. Fair play to you it's great that you give the time to share those. ????.

{Ed002's Note - Still having Eriksen, Maguire, Evans, Casemiro and Antony is not ideal. I would have expected more effort on a goalkeeper and a LB.}

Was there any genuine interest in Eriksen and Casemiro ed002?

I can understand why we wouldn’t have any takers for Antony, he’s garbage and his wages are far too high for his standard. I think we’ll be seeing some imaginative deal like the Sancho one in the next couple of windows to try and shift him on.

{Ed002's Note - Casemiro (DM) Manchester United would be willing to let him leave but will take a huge loss. Michael Emenalo spoke of him as one option for Saudi clubs but will be concerned about persistent injuries but MU will be hoping for a call before Monday, or an offer from Turkey - but both options seem unlikely.

Christian Eriksen (AM) The player has a contract until 2025 but was available for sale. Interest of Real Betis in a loan was rejected as the club wanted a sale.}

Appreciate it's a long shot Ed, but if that call were to come in for Casemiro and he was to leave, is it likely United would try to add Rabiot before the PL squad registration?

Obviously, he's not a direct replacement positionally but if Casemiro was to leave we'd be very short on numbers in midfield considering Mount's injury as well.

Gotta love the leveling posts from the Eds. Keep us uneducated ones in check!

Left back is a big mistake for me after last year.

I think not getting a left back and keeping Eth are the 2 mistakes so far by the new team.

The other issues ed mentions I agree with but it's difficult to do it all in 1 window with players on the wages they are.

Agree on the left badk issue - gross negligence.
