Ed02 - with the Casemiro deal done and FDJ seemingly not an option anymore, is there anyone else other than SMS that we're looking at?

I've searched the archives and can't seem to find anyone else mentioned, at least not recently.

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Alex McCarthy (G) Seems a decent possibility.
Martin Dubravka (G) Manchester United option.
Sam Johnstone (G) Not interested.
David Ochoa (G) Not interested in playing second fiddle for Manchester United. Loan to DC United.
Giorgi Mamardashvili (G) Only recently joined Valencia - unlikely to want to move and Velencia are looking to move on Cillessen and others as they have a similar issue to Barcelona.
Illan Meslier (G) Don't be surprised by Manchester interest in 2023.
Kevin Trapp or Yann Summer (G) Unlikely. Summer is playing every game where he is and is captain. Why would he be interested in sitting on the MU bench?
Calvin Ramsay (RB/RM) No
Sergino Dest (RB/RWB/LB) An option for MU still.
Benjamin Pavard (CB/RB) No.
Nordi Mukiele (RWB/CB) No.
Kyle Walker-Peters (RWB) Manchester United, Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea have enquired as to his availability but all either have or will likely have preferred options or he would not be joining as a guaranteed starter.
Thomas Meunier (RB) is being offered around including Chelsea and Manchetser United by his agent. Seems unlikely either would be interested and club don't want to sell. No.
Denzel Dumfries (RB) A potential Emerson Royal replacement for Spurs. Bayern Munich also have a declared interest but I cannot see the player being interested in being cover only. Inter will not want to sell and want to hang on to their younger players. I am not aware of any approach from Manchester United but it cannot be ruled out if a RB departs.
Josip Juranovic (RB) Atletico Madrid offer the player first team football whilst Manchester United, Chelsea and Spurs can only offer him a role as cover. Celtic are not looking to sell.
Max Aarons (RB) Bayern Munich decided against a move as the cost was seen as too high and Roma opted for another last summer although could yet return. Relegation will see him likely leave this summer but Norwich will hold out for the best possible deal. A scout from Borussia Dortmund attended a match in March to watch another player and recommended the club look specifically at Aarons. Manchester United may want him as cover only and that may well price him out of a move at something like £30M. Spurs opted for another so there interest has gone. Borussia Monchengladbach and Atalanta are open to loans. Whilst Everton and Arsenal are looking elsewhere right now, both could return to focus on Aarons.
Borna Sosa (LWB) No.
David Raum (LWB) No.
Tyrell Malacia (LB/LWB) Signed.
Pau Torres (CB) Villareal are struggling financially and will sell this summer at the right price. Manchester City had him as an option and it is unclear if they now need a major CB addition this summer. Manchester United had him as first choice, purchased Varane instead but are now chasing again with departures imminent. Barcelona has a sustained interest but price will likely be an issue and they may look to horse trade some players - but priorities will be elsewhere. Napoli saw Torres as a Kalidou Koulibaly replacement but they are an unlikely destination now. Bayern Munich have him as a potential target if other plans fail. Real Madrid wanted Torres to replace Ramos but do not want to get in to an auction. Was offered to Chelsea last summer by a third party knowing Kounde was unlikely - but he would be down the list for them. Spurs have had sustained interest sin Mr Mourinho was coach - and have spoken with the club as they have Lo Selso to trade. Can't see a move to Manchester United.
Jurian Timber (CB) No.
Sven Botman (CB) No
Armel Bella-Kotchap (CB) Moved elsewhere.
David Carmo (CB/DM) Moved elsewhere.
Goncalo Inacio (CB) No.
Manuel Akanji (CB) No.
Nico Gordon (CB) Birmingham City youngster being scouted by Chelsea and Manchester United. Not for this summer.
Merih Demiral (CB) No.
Alessandro Bastoni (CB) No.
Lisandro Martinez (CB) Signed.
Dan-Axel Zagadou (CB) No.
Matthijs de Ligt (CB) No
Tyler Adams (DM/RB) No.
Boubacar Kamara (DM/CB) No.
Declan Rice (DM) Price may block a move but there remains interest from Manchester United and there is interest from Manchester City. West Ham will resist a move, but the player could push for it. No Champions League may be an issue.
Kalvin Phillips (DM) No.
Ruben Neves (DM/CM) Wolves would look to get as close to €50M as they can should circumstances dictate Neves is sold, and they may be more accepting of that now. Mr Mourinho is a huge fan and has tried to take him to three different clubs in the past - and he would, I am sure be interested in taking him to Roma but their focus right now is elsewhere. He has always been seen as an option to replace Matic at Manchester United, but they have other priorities to deal with first and preferred options - although Wolves might see an offer. His agent has been actively offering him around and has spoken with Juventus who are looking to offload players but none that I would expect Wolves to be interested in. The Spurs coach would like him as an upgrade to Sissoko (who has now left) and Ndombele but it is likely both would need to leave as they have added another addition in midfield as well - if Winks were sold an offer is possible.. Chelsea have a preference for another player. Arsenal have been very interested but could be out of the picture if they do not achieve Champions League football. The player wants to move to Barcelona, but it would need players in exchange or them to remove wages from the accounts - but they should not be ruled out - and I expect they may push.
Joao Palhinha (DM) No.
Casemiro (DM) Signed.
Moises Caicedo (DM) Arsenal have enquired after his availability and been told he is not for sale. Prior interest of Manchester United, dating back before he joined Brighton, remains.
Eric Martel (DM/CM/CB) RBL could be persaded to sell after a good season on loan in Austria. Rangnick is keen and the player was discussed when the clubs were talking about Haidara. Very versatile and getting a good reputation.
Kalvin Phillips (DM) No.
Konrad Laimer (CM/DM) No.
Yves Bissouma (CM/DM) No.
Tanguy Ndombele (CM/DM) No.
Matheus Nunes (CM/DM) No.
Aurelien Tchouameni (DM/CM) No.
Enzo Fernandez (CM) No.
Amadou Haidara (CM) It was Rangnick interest from his time at Lokomotiv Moscow - probably gone now.
Youri Tielemans (CM) Will likely head elsewhere now.
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (CM/AM) Lazio had no intention of selling unless the player pushed for a move, but the reality of having 10 players out of contract in the summer means they are facing the reality of selling Milinkovic-Savic to help fund the changes they wish to make and to free up wages. It would take a huge offer of perhaps €80M to complete a sale. At that price the interested parties would want to include players in any deal if possible. Inter are effectively priced out of any move. Real Madrid's interest has moved on but circumstances are rapidly changing in Madrid and they could look again. PSG will almost certainly make an early offer after failing to sign midfield targets in recent windows. Manchester United remain very keen - and he is the preferred choice. Spurs may show an interest but a move is seen as very unlikely - the same with Juventus. No Champions League may be an issue for Manchester United.
James Ward-Prowse (CM) Spurs made an approach to Southampton and were told he is not for sale, although they remain interested. Newcastle have a declared interest but are not viable. If the player has ambitions the club are unable to meet, they might let him leave for a (very) significant fee. Not first choice for Manchester United or Manchester City but both could be interested.
Frenkie de Jong (CM) Tolisso upgrade for Bayern Munich but Barcelona don't want to sell although if a significant offer (perhaps €90M) were made their financial situation would mean they would have to consider it. During discussions between Barcelona and Chelsea, options for a number of players were discussed but Chelsea do not again want protracted negotiations which led nowhere over another player in the summer - they may make a take it or leave it offer. Manchester City may provide another solution using Laporte as part of the deal - and don't be surprised if PSG or Manchester United switch their attention to him. No Champions League may be an issue.
John McGinn (CM) Aston Villa don't want to sell but the player would be open to a step up with interest from Manchester United dating back a couple of years.
Donny van der Beek (CM) will be added to the midfield.
Mattias Svanberg (CM) No.
Franck Kessié (CM) No.
Vitinha (CM/AM) No.
Adrian Rabiot (CM) No.
Jobe Bellingham (CM) Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, Sunderland, West Ham, and no doubt many others have been showing an interest in the player who is probably best off where he is for a year or two.
Christian Eriksen (AM) Signed.
Otavio (RM) Liverpool have sustained interest and something may be possible. Manchester United see him as a useful midfield addition, but cannot offer CL football. No.
Fabian Ruiz (CM/DM/AM) No, moving elsewhere.
Florian Wirtz (AM) No.
Serge Gnabry (RW/LW) No.
Dominik Szoboszlai (LM/CM/LW) was the first choice Sergej Milinkovic-Savic or Zielinski replacement for Lazio since the summer of 2019 but has now been priced out of any move to Italy - and that rules out Milan. Ralf Rangnick is a huge fan of the player and could look to him as a Rashford replacement, should one be required. Real Madrid are interested but they have a financial balancing act to conduct and priorities will need to be considered. But they are looking to shake up their wingers this summer and cannot be discounted. Prior interest of Juventus has gone and they have a specific Dybala replacement in mind. Prior Arsenal interest was from a scout the club fired. Chelsea were interested when he was younger - the scout who was keen on him remains keen though. PSG see him as a good option to replace Draxlerand have held talks - but the player wants to be a starter and if Neymar remains know that will be unlikely. RBL have no desire to sell.
Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld (LW/F) right footed left winger - was watched by Liverpool in 2019 and 2020 and there were discussions with Lille, Leicester, Southampton, Wolves, West Ham and Wolfsburg. Manchester United have had a very high-end scout who is an ex-PL player look at him on more than one occasion as they look for a possible Rashford replacement. Liverpool have Diaz and Jota in a similar position already. Agent has spoken with Chelsea.}
Antony (RW/LW) Bayern Munich had declared an interest in giving Ajax a profit on the player but Ajax are not looking to sell and there is a dependency on a Bayern Munich player leaving. They may start to push. Real Madrid see him as an option but not top of their list and interest will wane. Chelsea see him as as an option as they look to resolve issues with their wide players but have other preferred options. Manchester City see him as a possible Mahrez replacement and Manchester United as a Mason Greenwood replacement. Ajax will look to extend his contract but Manchester United will keep pressing and the player wants the move.
Christian Pulisic (LW) An enquiry has been made about availability for a loan by Manchester United and Newcastle. Interest from elsewhere.
Christopher Nkunku (F/AM/W) No.
Benjamin Sesko (S/F) Moving elsewhere.
Sasa Kalajdzic (S) Stuttgart will push for him to sign a new contract. Agent has offered him to Roma and Spurs - as they did last summer to Chelsea and Crystal Palace. Bayern Munich are keen on the player but have a preferred target. The same is true of Borussia Dortmund - Wolves and Manchester United do remain potential options.
Alexander Isak (S) Will move elsewhere.
Erling Braut Haaland (S) Moved elsewhwere.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin (S) with Everton in need of adding a striker the chances of DCL being sold unless a very significant offer arises are small. However, Arsenal are still looking for a striker and interest remains. The Real Madrid coach has said he is one of the rare English players who he thinks would take to football on the continent - so there may be interest. Other clubs looking for a striker such as Spurs have other preferred options. Manchester United may also provide an option.
Martin Terrier (LW/F) one of three attacking arrivals last summer and he has settled far better than Serhou Guirassy and Jeremy Doku. Has been watched by Chelsea, Manchester United and Spurs. Newcastle and Leeds will look to an offer this summer and may end up fighting it out for him.
Patrik Schick (S) No.
Harry Kane (S) Manchester City interest went with the signing of Haaland. I expected Manchester United to bite the bullet and make a significant offer, initially including a couple of players - but not being in the Champions League would probably end any chances they have of signing him. Bayern Munich have him as a potential Lewandowski replacement and I expect they will make an offer - and Spurs know it is coming. Will stay with Spurs making the Champions League.
Youssef En-Nesyri (S) West Ham and Manchester United apparently, via a third party, have made an approach to ask about availability and price for the player who has done well this season, but has mot set the world alight previously. Will be off the AFCON when it comes around. Makes little sense given Sevilla are not looking to sell and would demand around €50M but there remains the thought both sides could will look again. It would be doubtful he would be a starter for Manchester United. Arsenal has also shown interest in the player as a replacement for Lacazette but have other preferences.
Hugo Ekitike (F) Moved elsewhere.
Darwin Nunez (S) No.
Lautaro Martinez (S) No.
Alvaro Morata (S) Arsenal and Spurs have shown an interest. Offered to Manchester United. The player will not want to be simply cover - much would depend on Ronaldo.
Evanilson (S) No.
Arkadiusz Milik (S) Offered to Manchester United as part of a player exchange. Juve will win out.

Hi Ed002. Amazing amount of info, thanks. Do you think we will make an offer to Lazio for SMS in next few days?

{Ed002's Note - There is someone at the club very keen on him. There is a chance but an offer may arrive from elsewhere.}
