Hi Ed's,

Have you heard anything in regards to us making a move for Casemiro? Hope this hasn't already been asked. Keep up the good work

{Ed002's Note - Not abuse, but Cornwall. When we lived in Monte Carlo where this woman went in to mourning about 20 years previously and would have a couple bottles of Cristal every evening where she would sit and share them with the regulars in the hotel bar.

My step dad was an alcoholic. Used to consume a bottle of Jonny Walker every night. Then he gave it all up and instead drank 2 bottles of Cristal instead. Suffice it to say we did not inherit anything. Gone now, of course, as has the fire protection business and foundry on Trafford Park Road, as indeed has that part of Trafford Park Road.

I reckon your more likely to have a meat raffle where you are Ed, I doubt any of the customers there will be getting in rounds of Cristal no matter how much celebrating or mourning they could be doing.

I agree with Ed, we should be looking for the next Casemiro. Which funnily enough is what Real have done….

He’s only just turnt 30 we have virtually 0 experienced players other than varane, Erickson and ronaldo who will most likely leave

We have been crying out for a cdm for years if we can get 4 seasons out of him then it will be money well spent, he is never injured and is a world class cdm…

We can now concentrate on building other areas of the pitch, I think it’s a good signing I get he’s 30 but he’s in his prime years for the position he plays doesn’t really on pace.

Bolger we've just let matic go for free we got him about the same age he lasted 3/ 4 years that's 40m plus wages of what 150k for matic (who was injured tired or to slow and immobile to do the job he was bought for)? And remember matic gave up a year on his contract so he could leave we could have been stuck with that wage for another year.

Now casemiro is costing 70m plus 300k a week wages, that's 110m spent plus millions in wages wouldn't it have been better 4 years ago to have bought a player aged 20-25 who would be settled in and have learnt our style and be coming into their prime? Or be selling that player for 80-90+ and bringing in the next young player for cheaper? Also we wouldn't be spunking 70m on another 30+ year old because in 3/ 4 years were going to have to shell out for another player to take over from casemiro.

With 110m plus those wages we could have bought 2 maybe 3 players we could have balanced our squad properly.

Its short term thinking and people either not doing their job and scouting these player or someone else not doing theirs and paying no attention to them when they do find them.
