Makes sense, both have a year plus a one year option left on their deals. The club will be moving to make sure they don't lose too many assets over the next couple of years after losing Pogba, Lingard, Mata and Cavani for nothing this summer.

I'd expect to see them either extend or sell Matic this summer as well as he is entering his final year.

Makes sense? Rashford maybe, Shaw not at all. We need to stop being so protective over value and get the wrong uns out the club. Offering them new deals with increased wages does nothing to help that. But after your valiant defence of Shaw yesterday I am not surprised one bit.

Why would the treat matic different to mata?
Hopefully matic leaves.
Hopefully we get an offer for Shaw and maguire but it's not likely. Shaw can potentially improve under poch but who knows.

I think Shaw has more potential to improve under a different manager than AWB.

He can be very effective when used the correct way and in a system that wouldn't expose his issues. While a good coach would be able to improve some of his tactical weaknesses.

AWB while would improve in his tactical awareness with a better coach, I doubt there is much that can be done with his technical ability. Especially as he turns 25 at the start of next season. His touch, passing and crossing are unlikely to drastically improve. Which is a shame, as he seems like a decent enough lad, or at least he keeps his head down.

A new contract for either Shaw or Rashford is madness. Neither has been earned and foists their attitude on to us and a new manager for years to come. If either are there next season they are lucky.

Rashford doesn't deserve a new contract he has arguably been our worst player this season along with Maguire. I wouldn't even be giving bruno a new deal either they want to get the manager sorted first. I would be sitting tight on any new deals at the moment, especially with the performances from these players. According to reports Rashford is considering his future anyway so a new deal is ridiculous right now.

Your last sentence makes me laugh, he’s ‘considering his options’ so that he gets a new contract, it’s just how the game works, can’t believe people fall for that. He’s had a bad few months that’s for sure but we definitely don’t want to lose him for free so a new contract makes total sense. Same with Shaw, he’s England’s left back, we can’t let him go for free, would be madness.

Rashford has over two years left on his current deal so I don't know what nonsense you are talking about to be honest ?. I don't see what was so funny it made you laugh either ?‍♂️. Are you actually watching Rashford play? He is not a player who looks like he is playing to get a new contract at all he looks completely disinterested. So you think that Rashford deserves a new contract with a pay rise because I can guarantee it won't be on the same terms or for less than he is on now. Nobody has mentioned letting them go for free either you are simply making things up. Let's see the season out and get our club in order before we dish out unwarranted contracts out!
