Ed2. Does United have any interest in Trying Ming's at CB.

Dbrooks I wish we still had Evans and Smalling tbh. Could’ve saved a fortune and been no worse off than what we’ve got now.

You do remember smalling playing for us don't you? I think most people forget what he was like when he played for us and just think well he's doing well in italy. Evans has improved and probably would have done the same for us under mourinho.

Our current options aren't great maguire isn't just slow in pace it takes him a age to decide which pass to make so by the time he does make it the player has a defender or 2 around him.

Bailly can be rash can be good but too often injured.

Tuanzebe difficult to judge the kid hasn't had a good run in the team when he's played mostly he's done well the odd mistake it when you don't play regularly that happens

Lindelof probably our best defender good passing just need him to play more forward passes his weakness is he isn't dominant in the air he's not bad he's just not dominant often get blamed for his defensive partners mistakes.

Dbrooks yes sure. Do you think Lindelof is any better than Smalling. I don’t. I’d rather have kept the cash and kept Smalling.

I’m not saying either are good enough, just that I’d prefer one over the other.

Who was Utd’s last great centre back? Vidic? How much money has been slashed up the side of the changing room wall since then. We keep getting linked to young French defenders, I haven’t seen them all play but not sure we need to be busting the bank. The gems are out there, it is the scouting and coaching that is the problem. Look what Rogers has done with Evans, Soyuncu and Fofana. I’d take Evans back and the other two would walk in the team.

I think its a poor show that after spending 16m on Rojo, 30m on Bailly, 35m on Lindelof and 80m on Maguire, a total of 162m on centre backs the reality is that the current options are at best marginally better than Smalling and Evans. One an academy player and the other one we bought for 12m.

It shows a criminal level of poor spending.
