Hey ed002,

Just wondering do united have an interest in nathan akè or pau torres for CB? Thanks for all the info appreciate itcas always 🙏.

{Ed002's Note - Manchester United looked at Pau Torres late last year but OGS has made clear he is not looking for a CB as he is fully stocked. Ake was of interest to Mr Mourinho.}

I do like Ake. However with Mourinho being a fan and Vertongen departing Spurs they seem a more likely destination. Utd may be fully stocked but with at least three of their options constantly linked with a move away surely they'll be needing one sooner rather than later. I could see Jones doing well for a lesser Prem team and Smalling/ Rojo seem to have suitors.

Getting rid of 3 puts us at the right amount of centre backs for a 4 at the back system.

If we get rid of 3, that leaves us with 4 (none of which are world class) and one/ arguably two of those seem quite injury prone.

But you don't replace players on the basis they might get injured that could happen to anyone if you don't think they can do the job you move them on you can't just bring others in because maybe something happens what if it doesn't? You either trust in what you have or you move those you don't on and replace them you can't have both.
