Mandzuikic links resurfacing according to The Athletic. His style reminds me a bit of Sheringham.
The problem is his age -34- and also if we were interested in summer, why didn't we sign him back then?

Apparently it was too late in the transfer window for him to have time to think about the move but as he hasn't been part of Sarris squad for the season so far then he's open to it now.

Would be another silly mistake imo - looking for short term fixes to long term problems again.
If we are really rebuilding, then rebuild with new materials not old ones.

Ultimately I think it comes down to who is available in January.

Players who might be our first choices such as Maddison, Sancho and Moussa Dembele are unlikely to be available in January.

However, by not replacing players in the summer we are now left with a squad not good enough to compete for our ambitions this season.

Therefore, if we are to dip into the winter market to look for a solution then we will likely have to consider players who we maybe overlooked in the summer, as these are the only players who will be available.

Betty. I get your point mate. But we are in desperate need of experience. Even the like of maddison and sancho are very young. I don't know much about mandzucic other than he is experienced and appears to be a good professional. We could do with a couple if players of that ilk to help the younger players for 18 months or so.
The caveat is that they must be the right type of character. The likes of him or modric or rakatic are all still capable and could help bring the younger guys on.
The kids we have don't have anybody to turn on the pitch when the thing gets tough and they need that imo. Better rakatic than fred for example. Garner and mctom would learn more in a week playing with him than 18 months with fred.

Dead right Betty. We seem to keep making these mistakes and we don't learn. The club, manager, owners are a joke.

I believe our team needs Mandzukic right now albeit for short term.
Our season will get ruined if we still place our hopes on injury prone/ inexperienced forwards.
