Hi Eds,

We were reportedly interested in Ilkay Gundogan of Dortmund before he got injured, does any interest remain and isn't he a better alternative to Vidal/Strootman, what's your view?

I think Gundogan is a monumentally big risk. He hasn't played for over a season and his knee has taken so long to heal. I'd have major concerns. I honestly think that the most cost effective move would be Khedira and it wouldn't surprise me at all to see us be front runners for him in January.

I agree. but until his contract extension last year all of us really wanted him and if he's back up to speed and performing like we know he can, I'd love to see us make a move for him in the summer.
