Apparently we're shared 1st place with Arsenal for most goals from set pieces. Not so long ago we were abysmal at them.

In fairness Ed025 nobody here feels we're at Arsenal's level right now. We need to get goals in any way possible. But Arsenal could be much more attractive in how they play. They've a coach that is highly conservative. They're solid, take zero risks, but ultimately are quite boring to watch. Very little one touch football or intricate movement.

They can move the ball quickly from side to side and find gaps doing that. Then they play for set pieces. If we do become challengers in the next couple of years but are playing like that a lot of people will take it, but it won't change that it's a boring watch.

ED025 i have to say i don't find them boring at all. I really admire them.
Mind you i can find the beauty and brilliance in a good 0-0 draw. I really like seeing good defending or goal keeping and I think we all enjoy terrible le misses.
I think they play very good football at a good pace. They do lack a bit of flair but eze will bring more of that i'd imagine saka is also getting better and more rounded.
Arteta has done a great job there imo without getting over the line.


I hope they win it this season and or the cl. Nothing wrong with his pragmatism he is still a very inexperienced manager so I tip my hat to him.
He's had great backing and support particularly in his 1st couple of seasons and the club will feel very happy and justified in their choices on him.
Ok he is probably more Southgate than Ron Atkinson ? but that's ok.

{Ed025's Note - they are a very good side Ken and their strength in depth is their strongest suit i would say, to lose the likes of Gabriel and Saliba and still come up with a clean sheet tells you everything, they have quite a few flair players as well and although they can overplay situations at times they always have goals in them mate, i expect them to win the league at a canter because Liverpool have imploded and City are on the wane, no need to mention any other teams because they are all just also rans..
