Feel like the Baleba reports are all just prep for next season.

Let the player know that we are the first one's in from him and start the conversation to prepare him for a move next year.

Doesn't guarantee anything but might mean he looks at us more favourably when the inevitable bidding war happens next year.

Gotta credit Brighton, they'll have a solid plan to replace him for a player who cost them £3.50 and a pack of skittles.

Given their history with scouting players in recent years, whoever they replace Baleba with, it might not be a bad idea to offer them double their money before he even kicks a ball, rather than sign him two years later for £120 million.
