Seeing on Twitter that Gianluca Di Marzio is stating his sources have confirmed Mourinho will be the next UTD manager. Does anyone know if this guy is reliable? A great end to the season on the back of the win at the weekend and Mourinho confirmed as the next manager would hopefully give us all something to look forward to next season?

{Ed004's Note - tbf Di Marzio had a really good summer last year but it doesn't garuntee anything. He seems quite reliable on previous rumours}

Would be typical of United to have a deal in place for Jose only to somehow mess it up, calamity strikes and he ends up at a rival club, can see it now LVG has a strong end to the season, Woody indecision and all sense of what do out the window ha.

2.) 22 Mar 2016 15:36:33
Thanks for the reply Ed004!

3.) 22 Mar 2016 18:31:57
Welsh red devil

If the reports are true and there is an agreement that involves Utd paying out circa £10m I can't see Woodward effectively throwing that amount away to show he is indecisive. I would imagine the owners would question that. Add the lack of denial or comment from the club and if true the report LVG is not mentioned in relation to the tour which both could be potential pointers. Let's see but dithering and losing large amounts is potentially a career limiting move for Woodward.

Big big result for us today. I honestly thought that City would have us today but we won with another Rashford goal. Great result. Hopefully we can kick on now and get 4th position.

Rumours going around today that Simeone has agreed to manage Chelsea from next season. If true, our options are decreasing rapidly.

Also reading that Giggs will walk if the job isn't given to him. Let him walk I say, a legend of a player but has no managerial experience save for the 4 games he was in charge post Moyes. Giggs has also been involved in both unsuccessful managerial set ups post Fergie. Whilst many would love to see this fairytale come to fruition, it is just that, nothing but a fairytale.

What options are decreasing rapidly? Without effort i can name; Allegri, Conte, Poch, Mou, Koeman, Schmidt, etc.
Relax Stu, our board isn't clueless.

2.) 17 Feb 2016 10:26:27
I like man u they did a lot for us in the past in stopping the dial square lot from winning the league! But seriously though I know most on here are intelligent enough to know that the likelihood of prizing poch away from us would be bordering onto insanity! What he didn't have and wasn't allowed at Southampton he has at spurs! He simply wouldn't undo his plan!

3.) 17 Feb 2016 10:30:27
I think it's fantastic to see some of these big names come in. We will no doubt get Mourinho, I am very confident of that.

So it'll be Mourinho vs. Pep vs. Simeone vs. Klopp vs. Pochettino next season. What a prospect that is.

4.) 17 Feb 2016 12:19:44
Wow Spurs on our site. AMAZING 😆😆.

5.) 17 Feb 2016 13:24:13
We get mancs on our page as well fella.

6.) 17 Feb 2016 14:49:38
Its just never been known before Brinkley, I guess you must have won the league?

7.) 17 Feb 2016 16:14:44
Always nice to see new people visit this page no matter which team they support, welcome Brinkley.

Just seen that Pep Guardiola has been confirmed to replace Pellegrini as Man City Manager. Can any of the Ed's confirm if United are looking to replace LVG immediately now that this is confirmed or if we will replace in the summer? Thanks in advance.

stubuggs

{Ed004's Note - I don't see how it changes the clubs plan. They were probably anticipating this}

1.) 01 Feb 2016 14:20:55
Ed - in your opinion, do you think that Jose will be brought in at the end of the season, or will LVG see his contract out?

{Ed004's Note - I am not sure. He will be in contention to take over}

2.) 01 Feb 2016 17:26:20
Thanks for the reply Ed004!

So, is the plan to stick it out until summer? Surely Giggs hasn't got enough experience to take the role yet? Is Mourinho a serious contender?

Have read this morning that LVG offered his resignation after the match last Saturday, and that Ed Woodward has talked LVG around.

At the same time, the papers are reporting that Woodward has spoken to some of the senior players and understands that LVG has lost the dressing room and that the player have 'stopped responding' to LVG. If this is true, why would Woodward talk LVG around?

I know this might be paper talk but can any of the ed's shed any light on this. Surely the board have voiced an opinion on the dire performances? surely there must be a plan in place to look past the LVG era?

stubuggs

{Ed004's Note - I am not sure. I reckon if he has offered to resign and the club have asked him to stay on then it's because we think we have a chance with Pep Gaurdiola (don't think we have much of a chance) and we think we've more chance of getting top 4 with lvg rather than appointing Giggs. If not then I'd rather we just brought in Mourinho}

1.) 26 Jan 2016 17:28:06
Do you see us getting a new manager ed004??

{Ed004's Note - Yes I think so. But not I think it'll be during the summer}

2.) 26 Jan 2016 17:38:13
I'm with you there ed, something along those lines is happening, we could do worse than give it to warren Joyce till the end of the season.

{Ed004's Note - I agree and let Giggs take the u21 for the rest of the season}

3.) 26 Jan 2016 18:20:18
Anybody think not getting rid of lvg just yet could do with us trying to sign Muller in the near future known fact he's good mates with him.

4.) 26 Jan 2016 19:07:01
Leahy, what's with the Warren Joyce obsession? He has zero experience of the EPL or Europe.

5.) 26 Jan 2016 19:49:04
Ajh, I take him ahead of giggs until the end of the season, giggs isn't what we need, Joyce knows the players well and the club, he has done well with the under 21s, he will let the team play with a bit of freedom, he seems to be well regarded around old Trafford,
Can't do any worse the lvg till the season ends.

6.) 26 Jan 2016 20:42:37
Thanks ed004, do you have any idea of who?

{Ed004's Note - No idea. I would be happy with either mourinho or pep though}

7.) 26 Jan 2016 21:40:56
Thanks ed004.

8.) 26 Jan 2016 18:42:15
would rather not see muller ever in a united short if that means having to suffer for another season with LVG.

I read this morning that PP's agent had cancelled the medical in Miami. I really hope so. It's not my money so I don't care how much we spend on players. What I do not like is being held to ransom by agents wanting ridiculous fees. Let Pogba go, not sure he really wanted the move back, despite what has been said. Let's move on to JM's other targets.

Firstly, in relation to Mourinho and his track record with young players, do you think LVG would have picked the youngsters he has this season if we hadn't had injuries? No, he wouldn't have. Rashford has made a great impact on the first team yet LVG still comes out and says he isn't ready for the first team? Deluded.

As for fans not wanting to win the FA cup, that is just unbelievable. I have never understood this mentality and never will.

Finally, SAF was no angel, boycotting the BBC after the doc about his son and don't forget the trouble with Magnier over the horse spunk that led to the Glazers taking over the club. We need to get back to winning ways, playing great football. Look at the football and goals scored during Mourinho's first season in charge of Chelsea, great attacking football. Don't get me wrong, I am no fan of him courting our club in the way it has been portrayed, but we need a strong reaction now. Pep is going to City and I expect a resurgence there, they have finished ahead of us for the past three seasons, we cannot allow a fourth. Liverpool will be stronger next season under Klopp and Tottenham will be strong.

My first choice to replace LVG would be Pochettino but it looks like that is impossible, so the best available man is Mourinho.

Why would it be the end of the club? At least he club would be owned by local lads that had played for the club. Some folk on here are never happy.

Couple of great posts from Red Man, I totally agree. It also doesn't help when some of the players are posting crap up on social media about creating new celebrations / having hair cuts etc. They should be getting their heads down and putting some work in. I for one am fed up with the usual post match loss "We need to do better" blah blah blah. I am also disappointed at the whole Jose out crowd. Back him, as the board should do. It may take two years but he has to be backed.

Let him go, I think it's where he wants to go TBH. 100 million is far too much in my opinion, the money would be better spent elsewhere.

Didn't like his football but as a person, and a human being, I feel sorry for him. One job too far and has been hounded by the press. I also don't like the public gaining that Mourinho has seemed to do. The man has class and dignity and I am glad he can leave having won the FA cup with us.

I will never understand anyone who has a mentality of wanting to drop points. It is ridiculous. As a lifelong fan and a real manchester lad, I want UTD to win every match. When did it become acceptable to drop points, and find that a game is going to be a stretch. Come on, get real. We are Man UTD. when did it become acceptable in pre match interviews to say that this is going to be a hard match?
