Look like Valencia are now in for Cleverly, big squad clearance coming up. is it to free spaces for the likes of Dejong, Blind and someone else?

1.) It's to free up space currently clogged up by s**t players!

2.) It might just be that we are selling the players who are not good enough for the 1st team

3.) Could there be interest in Dani Parejo of Valencia? 10m + Cleverly and we can do away with the never ending Vidal and Carvahlo rumours.
Valencia seem to always be in the process of balancing the books, - a quick bargain would be nice for a change.

It seems to me there are some decent defensive midfielders out there. i'm a lot more worried about centre backs to be honest.

I would doubt that the De Jong thing is going to happen. he started for Milan today and it would seem strange to risk it if he is about to leave. must be shopping in a different place

Angel di maria due to land at midday to sign, is this our business finished. not a chance, heard talk of 2 more in (one defender, one other?) and at least five leaving. we just need to start transferring it to the pitch now

De Jong.

I used to think I'd prefer Blind over De Jong but I think we need someone who can stop an average midfielder like Cattermole from dominating the midfield for 90mins, Blind doesn't have the physicality.

We've got enough neat, tidy passers of the ball, we need a ball-winner.

Blind's good though, if we signed him I wouldn't be gutted but De Jong is more what we need.

3.) You might be right Red. I'm not his biggest fan but he ticks a lot of boxes: Premier League experience; familiar with van Gaal; aggressive, defensive midfielder; would fill a gap til next season; affordable.
He would of made a big difference yesterday, we shouldn't be getting bossed by the likes of Cattermole.
I'm really not sure about this 3-5-1-2 formation. I think 4-3-3 would make us more solid and give us more confidence.
