Liverpool fan just spending a quite reflective moment to remember the Busby Babes and the awful Munich disaster.

Busby and Shankly were good friends and had total respect for each other.

It would be good to revive the healthy rivalry between our two great clubs and do without the bitterness and sometimes vile outpourings of the mindless elements that claim to support our clubs.

Time to remember all those who died or suffered at Munich. You will never be forgotten.

YNWA.

Dodgy result for us (and also for Spurs) but it does not dent the faith we have in Klopp.

I am not coming here to gloat. It's more a case of sympathy with proper supporters of a proper club.

We were suffering under Brendan and I think that you are suffering under LVG. There is no hidden agenda here on my part.

When we had Brendan in charge results like today's against West Brom would be killers. Now it is just part of our rebuilding process. Klopp will sort it out.

Anyway not the best results this weekend but we will get over it.

To those of you who support LVG then no problem. I look forward to our battles and we will see who comes out on top.

To those of you who hate what LVG is doing I simply understand you hurt.

Whilst our clubs will always be rivals we can still respect each other.

I'm off to the Liverpool Banter page see ya😆😆.

{Ed025's Note - the liverpool "other" page is better Bfro, its where all the moaning posts go...its hilarious.. ;)

Come on Tommy, throw something at us at least :-)

{Ed025's Note - love it herbie..

3.) 13 Dec 2015 19:06:25
tommy what do u make of klopp's OTT celebrations today, that sort of hand holding and stuff for a draw at home against westbrom is as bad as lvg never getting anywhere near the touchline for us.

A fun fact for u, though u won't like it after 8 games brendan and klopp have the same no. of points.

{Ed025's Note - i like klopp CSM, but all that holding hands lark did make me cringe, it was more "mrs browns boys" than anything to do with football mate..

4.) 13 Dec 2015 19:30:25
It's simple really. Klopp just wants the supporters and the players to all play their part. He wants to bring back belief. You might well be sceptical and some of his antics will clearly rankle with other teams supporters but for us it shows he cares.

Who wouldn't want a bear hug from Jurgen!

Yep he is a genuine good guy who loves his football. He has been known to walk home brooding after a bad result. He would be a fan if he was not a manager. How can you
not respect a guy like that.

We will have our bad days but at least we can now see light at the end of the tunneL.

Already looking forward to next week.

{Ed025's Note - im a big fan of klopp tommy..

5.) 13 Dec 2015 19:47:09
The money in football has tainted the game for many supporters. When you get a genuine guy like Klopp it is like a breath of fresh air.

To be fair I would say the same about Gary Neville who I absolutely hated as a player but when he joined Sly Sports he showed what a genuine football man he is.

Brendan was a product of the new breed of managers who are media savvy but . enough said he is gone thank goodness.

LVG is a misfit who should be nowhere near Old Trafford. He has no empathy for how you play the game. He is just not right for you.

Anyway thank you for you patience and I have had my say.
Good luck to you all and may you finish no more than 3 places below us.

6.) 14 Dec 2015 09:07:27
Klopp seems like a very good manager but celebrating a draw at West Brom like bucks fizz celebrated when they won eurovision was a little bit cringe 😃.

13 Dec 2015 09:32:03
I am a Liverpool supporter so I fully accept that you may feel that I have no business being involved in your current concerns over LVG. I just know from our time with Brendan how bad it can be when you have the wrong guy in charge.

My feeling right now is that the man should look to bring in for next season is Gary Neville. That may sound a bit of a risk but Gary has shown since being at Sky that he understands football and more importantly he understands your club. He knows what is required and how you should play. I think he would be the best chance for you to bring back the Fergie legacy which has up until now been totally wasted.

You might feel it is a big risk with his lack of managerial experience but remember Pep was perfect for Barca. I can see the same thing with Gary and

Seeing Liverpool under Klopp and United under Neville would be brilliant.

Tommy Gunn

{Ed001's Note - Pep Guardiola had been managing the Barca B team, in the equivalent of the Spanish Championship. He was fairly experienced.}

1.) 13 Dec 2015 10:21:14
We are in such a sorry state of affairs when Liverpool and Chelsea fans give us pointers and advice ed . At least Mr Gunn was not a graduate from Mighty REDS charisma college😆😆.

2.) 13 Dec 2015 11:24:02
Fair enough I can fully understand that you will not be happy to accept any comments from Liverpool supporters. It is just that under Brendan we were being suffocated by a manager with a big ego and you seem to be in the same situation now.

If I am absolutely honest I hope that you stick with LVG as I am pretty confident that under Klopp we be going ahead of you sooner rather than later.

In an ideal world I would like to see a strong Liverpool and a pretty strong United fight it out for the league and give the likes of Citeh Arsenal Chelski and Spurs a reminder of who the two top clubs in England are.

Anway it is the season oh goodwill and I would like to wish Man Utd supporters a Happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year.

3.) 13 Dec 2015 11:38:51
Love how Liverpool fans think they are going to be amazing now, you would think they would have learnt from all the false dawns over the years, just keep your mouthes shut, lay low and see what happens, all that ever happens when Liverpool fans start mouthing off is that in the end they look silly.

{Ed025's Note - seems to me like the christmas spirit has stalled somewhere on the east lancs road GDS.. :)

4.) 13 Dec 2015 12:06:53
Tommy. I agree with your comments. If lvg was in charge of Liverpool, I would want him to stay there for 25 years. The fact whether us United fans like it or not, is that lvg has damaged our club and our reputation, he's antagonised the fans and annoyed the players. Non of them play with a smile any longer.
Klopp is a superb manager and he will improve Liverpool. Of that there's no doubt. He has more charisma, humility and intelligence in his little finger than lvg will every have.
I'm hoping we get Pep or Ancelotti with Gary neville as assistant. I think that will get the club back where we deserve to be. But I'm not holding my breath!

5.) 13 Dec 2015 12:38:50
The problem for you is that the decline under LVG is gradual rather than you falling off a cliff. Your league position shows you to be competitive and the owners see the money coming in so they do not see the need to make changes. It will only be when you miss out on the top four that it will strike home.

As time goes by other sides will regroup and build stronger and you will find it tougher to get back to the top.

How long you will suffer depends on the owners who look to have limited knowledge about football rather than commercial matters.

We have been through the same thing but we have finally got the right man at the top.

It breaks your heart as a supporter when you see you club being led by the wrong guy. You just know it is wrong but there is nothing that you can do about it. It is bloody miserable and it seems that there is no answer. In some ways you hope it gets worse so that the owners are forced to make a change. What a mess!

6.) 13 Dec 2015 17:42:01
Tommy,

I would like to say I told you so, but I'm guessing you probably won't be back on here today. When will you learn to keep your mouth shut? As a Liverpool fan it always comes back to haunt you.

12 Dec 2015 21:05:02
Liverpool supporter here offering you a different perspective on your current situation.

Not so long ago we were treading water going nowhere and it felt as though the life was being sucked out of us. Brendan was inflicting death by a thousand cuts. He was not a bad man he was just not up to the job. It was bloody miserable and there seemed to be no light at the end of the tunnel.

Then a miracle happened. Against all expectations we went out and got the man we always wanted. The guy everyone thought was going to Bayern when Pep moves on. Bloody hell what an absolute transformation throughout the club and he has only just started. We have belief and we are going to be a proper team again. There is no doubt in my mind that Klopp is the real deal.

Your situation since Fergie left is not that different. You have wasted time and serious amounts of money with some poor recruitment. Moyes was never right for you and neither is LVG. They do not understand the ethos of your club and the style of play you have.

Some of you talk about bringing Giggs through. That will be another mistake.

You have the resources and you have the support but non of that matters if you have the wrong manager.

With LVG in charge I am pretty confident that we will be catching you up and leaving you behind pretty soon.

The sooner you can bring in the right manager the sooner you can get back on track. Realistically it will be the end of the season before any of the top candidates are available.

I will refrain from offering names as to which managers will bring back any serious concern that you are on the way back but personally I don't think Ancelloti is what you need.

You are treading water and you need to get it right for next season otherwise the likes of Citeh Chelski Arsenal Spurs and ourselves will be leaving you behind.

You have to get a manager who will bring attacking football that excites the fans and gives his players the confidence to realise their true potential. Any numpty like Big Sam can set a side up to be hard to beat (apart from Brendan) but you just don't intimidate anyone anymore. Unless you grasp the nettle teams like Watford and Leicester will fancy their chances against you in the future.

LVG is not a bad coach but he is just not the right coach for you.

Tommy Gunn

1.) 12 Dec 2015 21:44:48
Tommy

Some very goods points. I watched your team lurch from one catastrophe to another in the eighties and we need to learn from it

Personally I think Klopp is rather good for you guys and Woodward is becoming a disaster.

2.) 12 Dec 2015 21:50:34
Wait until your honeymoon period is over lol and we will see what Jurgen "the ladies favourite" Klopp is made off.

3.) 12 Dec 2015 22:43:12
I am pretty sure Jurgen is the real deal. He has a really good right hand man and he has done the business at Dortmund. anyway time will tell but what is undeniable is the effect that he has had on our club already.

Woodward may be an issue but you number one priority j
Has to be getting the right man in to replace LVG. Nothing else matters until that is sorted out.

LVG gets his teams set up to keep possession and to control the game. He sacrifices quick offensive play for solidity and structure.

You should be pretty embarrassed to have Fellaini as your main attacking option.

With a top manager you could be back in the frame pretty quickly but if you persist with LVG you will slowly but surely and step by step go backwards and then one day you will realise that you have been left behind.

No one can rest on their laurels. Just look at Chelski.

There is not too much for you to sort out once you have got the right guy in as manager.

4.) 13 Dec 2015 00:51:20
Klopps a good and seemingly honest guy, which I like but I think he didn't have to change in the terms of tactics and style as much as someone that has to replace van gaal. his whole approach should be binned and started again. You maybe disagree just my view.

5.) 13 Dec 2015 04:46:18
Tommy

I agree with everything you said. I think people who are hanging on to the idea that this guy will come good for us will soon realise its myth.

6.) 13 Dec 2015 09:27:53
Tommy, you're right and a significant number of United fans are extremely disappointed that it was not us that snared Klopp as our next manager. His outgoing personaIity coupled with the style he advocates was what United fans have been clamoring for. We are jealous. I guess it was rather like my relationship with Scarlett Johansson, the timing just never seemed to work out.

I'm not sure what the rest of the season holds for us. It depends on our injuries. Yesterday we had a youth team out there. Only an aging Carrick, and the frequently underwhelming Mata and Fellaini as senior players (although Fellaini on this occasion was our most threatening weapon) . The failure to play Ashley Young was inexplicable and the substitutions even more so. It was almost as if LVG was giving the finger to the fans.

17 Mar 2014 22:34:50
Just one or two comments for you to consider.

Moyees is a good bloke but I just don't think that the Manchester United job suits him.

Fergie left a poor legacy to Moyes. An ageing team with no real pace in the side.

The side has no confidence. Players are starting to hide and look inhibited.

Moyes tactics are too negative.

Just having a big war chest in the summer is absolutely no guarantee of success. Look how Spurs wasted 100 million and have gone backwards.

You have two really good players in Kagawa and Mata and neither of them looks anything but ordinary at the moment. Their talents are being totally wasted. They are not the only ones.

Rooney and RVP do not work together. Sell one or both. The only alternative would be to get the right coach in who knows how to change your system.

Don’t think that next season everything will suddenly come good. Chelski, Citeh, Arsenal and Liverpool are all better placed than you and all will improve and kick on again next season.

Don’t expect the best players to arrive in the summer. Manchester United are still a massive club but with no Champions League you have a problem. Having Moyes as manager makes that problem that much bigger. Players talk to each other and they know which coaches they want to play for. Ask Rooney which coaches have the best reputation in the Premier League; Mourinho and Rodgers.

You are close to the cliff edge. If you get things wrong then it may take you longer than you think to get back to the top table.

Tommy Gunn

1.) Im not sure you know what legacy actually means.

2.) A top manger and coaching staff, backed up by 150 million - to add to the wealth of talent the squad already has, will have them challenging for the league title next season, especially if we are not in Europe.

The same team pis.ed the league last season, and out-played Madrid over two legs, so I really don't buy the line that the squad isn't good enough. It is far from perfect, but definitely posses enough quality to challenge for the league.

What many opposition fan's fail to realise, is that United are a power-house of a football club, with massive resources to back it; and a will on the part of the owners to spend big in order to achieve success on the football pitch, which goes hand-in-hand with the success of the club off the pitch.

Eventually, Moyes' reign will be over; and hopefully, his successor will possess the qualities needed to put this club back where it belongs: at the top.

3.) If we have a respected manager and an ownership which is demonstrating a clear intent to invest in the best players then one season outside the Champions League may not be a substantive deterrent. After this year's performance, which has been a catalog of errors, the first requirement has been irreparably compromised - Moyes has to go. In regard to the second requirement the Glazers have no choice if they want to protect the long term value of their investment.

4.) I tad something similar after the Liverpool game and it appeared briefly then disappeared. He may be a scouser, but Tommy talks sense. I'm not sure 3 new plays will turn things around, we are falllling a long way behind.

Speaking with son in law who was at a party when one of United’s analysts was there. He said that the current thinking is that Rashford is not expected to push on significantly and that the club has better prospects.

He was more complimentary about Lindelof and his future,

Maybe Rashford will be sold on by the club next summer?
