Not a rumour, more of a question. Moyes says targets won't be swayed by no CL football do you think that will be the case Ed's? My thoughts are Utd will struggle to get the calibre of player needed to improve the squad.

1.) The best players want to play on the best stage. But money talks too. So yes we will attract players without CL if offering mega bucks wages a la Rooney but the issue is if City for example are offering Mangala etc £200k a week, with CL and a better chance of winning stuff why take the risk on an unproven manager building a team in transition if all you're guaranteed is another £50k pw?
My fear is the players we want will go elsewhere irrespective of what we offer.
There will be exceptions. If it's clear a player is being brought in as a first team regular such as Shaw at LB then the player should hopefully value that more than being a squad player in a CL team. Hopefully.

He never said players didn't want to play in the UCL.
4.) I actually think that they will come even if we don't make the champions league. We will definitely expect top 4 minimum next season with the names being mentioned and there are no international tournaments that they would need to fight for a place in the squad for.

That statement is far from correct' Have look at Monaco, Psg before they got in and City and who joined these teams when they had no cl place.
