Just read a news Liverpool were very close to the signing of Juan Mata, with Kenny Dalglish made enquiries at his former club Valencia, who wanted a fee of around £15 million. But Kenny opted to sign the-Aston Villa midfielder Stewart Downing for £20 million instead. As u all know, the rest is history.

Really feeling bad for them. :-P But Thank You Liverpool for not signing the Chosen Juan.

Sahil_Baloch

{Ed001's Note - that is not quite true. Liverpool were never close to signing him, there was an enquiry and he was interested in signing for Liverpool, but Comolli chose Downing on the stats, as he was to play on the wing. So you can think Inspector Clouseau.}

I remember a few of them.

I remember Pablo Aimar as one of these. Was incredible in Champ man 98. Must have torn it up at south american under 7s comp or something 🤣.

Hello Eds and all other posters. Wish you all a good health. I have question for all of you what you guys think about Ruben Neves and Pedro Neto, there have been a lot of rumours about linking them to Man Utd, do you guys think that they would be a great fit for us, as for my opinion I think Ruben Neves is what we need right now in Midfield.

Pedro Neto yes he’d be a great addition but I don’t think Wolves would let him go.

{Ed002's Note - He is of no interest to Manchester United.}

2.) 28 Dec 2020 21:39:51
Personally I'd prefer Neto over Neves. Both excellent players, I just feel Neto is more the type of player that would fit our side.

Ruben Neves is similar to DvdB in playing style. While Neto would give us a a new option out wide.

{Ed047's Note - isn’t Ruben a DM and Donny a CM and you could do with a DM

3.) 28 Dec 2020 20:46:01
Thanks Ed. Looking forward to the update in the coming days 😁.

4.) 28 Dec 2020 22:22:53
Ed047, Neves from what I've seen of him works best as a tempo setter, a pass and move player who keeps things moving and helps move the ball through midfield. He doesn't make a lot of defensive actions not does he get forward enough to get many goals or assists. At Wolves the midfield is balanced by having Dendoncker taking on the majority of the defensive work, while Moutinho is the creator in chief.

I think Donny would best suit a similar role. Like Neves he is neither a defensive player nor a big goalscorer or assist maker.

I think the defensive midfielder we are missing is someone who focuses mostly on defensive actions, tackles, interceptions, shielding the defence. That's not really Neves.

{Ed047's Note - ahh ok, I recall now that Nuno moved him further up the pitch last year when things went a little wrong for them.

Hi eds and all friends, hope you all are fine, I have a question for you, Recently I have been reading a lot of Praise for Kimmich, I know he's one of the best Young Player in the world, I have watched him on few occasions but mostly as a RB, Shappy and some other poster Lauding him as one of the best young CM around the world, I would like to know that what kind of CM he is, is he a b2b, deep lying play maker or a dm?

{Ed002's Note - This is the MU Page - you need to try the European pages.}

Hey friends and eds how are you all, I have a question for u all, what do you guys think about Leon Bailey and Malcolm, Man Utd need to sign a winger, these guys are very talented, whom do you think is better and will be a better fit for Man Utd.

1.) 18 Dec 2017 10:29:31
Can I have both for Christmas wish?

2.) 18 Dec 2017 12:00:39
Both look like exciting young prospects, Bailey is maybe slightly more proven, but Malcom looks like he has higher potential.

Both are potentially good options. However, are either ready to be thrown in and effect a match consistently for a club at the highest level? Both look like good future options, but they probably aren't going to be able to effect games for us on a consistent enough basis just yet.

{Ed002's Note - Manchester United were very interested in Malcom throughout last season. Manchester United also looked at Bailey before he left Genk earlier this year. Perhaps people should try the search function.}

3.) 18 Dec 2017 12:58:00
Haven’t seen much of Malcom but As ed said we are interested, can someone shed some light on what type of player he is? Also is he right sided? I feel with martial and Rashford we are set on the left hand side.

4.) 18 Dec 2017 14:32:05
Left footed, and plays on the right. Only watching videos so I can't tell how good he is.

5.) 18 Dec 2017 15:44:50
We need both. We have no wingers and no creation. About time we started buying creative players.

6.) 18 Dec 2017 15:49:06
Random but would you take zaha back I think he’s a far better player since leaving you (no offence) and could do a good for a far better team maybe not quite good enough for you guys but I think he’s a good player now.

7.) 18 Dec 2017 16:06:05
Heard Barcelona are very keen on signing Bailey. Don't know if it's true though

Malcolm is the classic he got potential player who plays on the right and has a left foot. Wouldn't be against signing him but he a player I buy to develop for 2-4 years time, not to start straight away. Same said with Bailey.

8.) 20 Dec 2017 12:37:15
Ed001 what is your opinion about both players, I'll be glad to know your opinion.

{Ed001's Note - I really like Malcolm, I have watched him a lot this season and he looks a genuine superstar in the making. I am not sure if he is a striker or winger though, sometimes he seems like he would be better wide and others he looks a better central player. Malcolm is one I think would be a great signing for any Prem team. Like I said though, I am not 100% sure he will stay a winger, so not sure he would be the right choice for a team looking for one of those.

Bailey I have only seen a few times, but he did impress. I can only remember that I noted down his name as someone to keep an eye on as he looked like a player who would be a stand out in the future.}

Hello eds n all fellow reds, hope u all r fine, i have a question for all of u, what do u guys n girls think about Dimitri Mitchell? there's been lot of talk about signing a left back, do u think we should buy a left back or give chances to dimitri to prove himself?

Sahil_Baloch

{Ed004's Note - I think if we was going to get a good chance this season he would have played more on tour. Unfortunately Jose seemed to play Blind a lot to get him used to left back again}

1.) 03 Aug 2017 16:51:51
I'd prefer Mitchell at lb. Blinds lack of pace pinpoints him as an area of weakness to focus on.

Fresh, he has already put 4 question marks in his post, i've never seen ronnie's post without question marks :-D , well i agree with most part of the ronnie's post. but i also like most of the ronnie's posts. He talk about the upcoming talents we never or rarely heard about. I think he should be the head of the scouting for Man Utd. ;-)
