But the question is, who has the power to sack Ed Woodward? This has all the hallmarks of Liverpool’s desperation to end the longevity without success and only now 30 years later showing the signs of proper title credentials. Too vague a plan, bad leadership at the top and spending in the wrong areas at the wrong time. The club needs proper direction before any true success will be achieved again. Blanc may aid with some sort of stability, if hovering around 7th to 4th is acceptable, but then it’s a poisoned chalice for whomever takes charge. Good luck guys, your going to need it.

We have been fortunate over the last few years at LFC, more so than I can remember, with transfer strategy and actual investment in real quality. If you do get it right you have a perfect footing with which to build from and challenge properly once again. We are all loving it currently as Liverpool fans, but I think we are all too aware of how much power MUFC has with the correct strategy. Much as it pains me to say, you can all be down, and rightly so, about where you are now but you’re older fans will remember how lovely it is to watch the team grow into a force from nowhere in particular. We all want instant success, but the downs make the ups feel so much better. Embrace the change and be optimistic for the future.

I’m just going to be sick in my mouth a little bit.

Liverpool fan in peace here. From an outside view, I think any sort of actual plan is a start and you guys need one. Pretty much the whole squad is stagnant and a fresh ethos is needed. The idea of buying young, British players who will want to stay with you for the long haul rather than primadonnas chasing paycheques is definitely more of a long term plan but build a solid core and add the sparks around it as time goes on and who knows where you’ll be in a few years. It’s not meant to sound as patronising as it probably comes across, but sometimes it’s better to knock the house down and start again than to paper over the cracks. Good luck, you’re going to need it!
