Bid rejected by Juve for Vidal. MU will go in with 2nd bid, buy won't pay crazy money.

RedDevil7

1.) Clearly you follow Agent Edward on Twitter.

2.) 28 Aug 2014 09:45:33
So, yesterday it was a done deal, according to you. Now the deal has been rejected?

Think you need to work on a new source other than twitter!

3.) 28 Aug 2014 09:48:57
Seems crazy not to pay crazy money for Vidal when we've paid crazy money for our last 5 signings

4.) When did we bid for vidal? seriours question

5.) 28 Aug 2014 10:09:27
I think the Carvalho rumours are to put pressure on Juve to accept our offer before DL day. I think hell end up in a red shirt before Tuesday morning.

6.) Thanks @Agent_Edward.

7.) What happened to "Vidal is a done deal"
get your facts right!

8.) Appreciate the post but confused after your previous post stated the deal was done. What's changed?

9.) I'm getting bored of all this Vidal talk now. if he really wanted to come to man utd then he would have forced it through by putting in a transfer request.I would rather go in for carvalho and then hopefully get strootman at a later date

10.) @scartho

No matter how much he wants to move to United
He won't push for a move as he's stated he's happy there and he won't dare upset the fans and be in their bad books

11.) Utd will give up on Vidal and end up buying Carvalho for £27m and blind for £18m.

Still need a centre back but doesn't look like that is going to happen!

Tough times ahead.

You can call this as or exclusive or wateva, but Arturo Vidal to MU is a deal done. We will see the developments in next 48 hrs or so

RedDevil7

1.) Hope so.

2.) And if we don't what's your excuse?

26 Aug 2014 18:26:18
Well, what's Van der sar doing at carrington?
Intresting .

RedDevil7

1.) Apparently he fancied a coffee but was bored of the amsterdam cafes. and then he remembered there's a costa coffee machine at carrington.

Sorry to burst your bubble

2.) 26 Aug 2014 20:21:05
He's managing director at Ajax and may be talking about Blind.

3.) EvS is in discussing the potential move for Blind

Ed002 can you please say whether we are interested in Vidal, Carvalho or any other mid?
I am asking this because just felt frustrated by today's match.
Thanks

Every one are blaming our 3-5-2 system. We are blaming the tactics. All I have to say is we should BELIEVE in LvG. I am pretty sure one day we will all praise the same formation and the same tacti s of the very same manager.
But what worries me is that we had a bunch of world class players in ADM, Wazza, RvP, Mata still we can't really break Burnley defense.
UNITED WE STAND IN LvG WE BELIEVE

RedDevil7

1.) I think build up play at the back and nerves in defence is the case as RedMan says.

LVG said so too in an interview last week after the Sunderland game. He thought the draw was down to a failure of build up in defense and mid.

We have to start to realise we are now playing Barcelona type formations, which, like LVG's formations, have their roots in Dutch "Total Football" from the 70's. Johan Cruff laid down Barcelona's blueprint in the early 90's, and it has continued to this day. Its one of the reasons they promote youth team coaches to managers, and it was the reason they went back to Holland in 96 to get Cruff's successor, tactically speaking, in LVG.

Barcelona are always keen on passing defenders and passing defensive midfielders. Pique's, Mascherano's, - his conversion from defensive mid to centre back, Sergio Busquets. Who competed with us on the surprising signature of Thomas Vermalen? - Barcelona.

There is an emphasis on retaining the ball at the back with these Total Football "hybrid" formations. It allows 3 man defense's, - in some cases 2 man defense's, to have a measure of protection. "You cannot be exploited, if in possession, " - is the idea. We saw a tribute to that in Guardiola's day. LVG is one of the pioneers of this style in modern football, and its no surprise our system is undergoing a radical change. I think it will spell the end for players like Evans, and even Smalling looking at it now. You can see also that Rojo is perhaps a better signing than we imagined, as perhaps is Blind as for defensive midfield/ wing back.

With the window nearing an end, hopefully we will get the players to make the system work. Over time, things will begin to fall into place, its not as if LVG hasn't done all this before. I think LVG should definately be given 1 1/2 years regardless of results. If we turn into the what Barcelona were 2009-12, who would complain?

2.) The tactics are proven to work, its a personnel problem imo. Hate to say it but Tony V has been found out, just does the same thing every time its just to easy for the opposition defence :(

3.) I said etlier today that I was excited and optimistic about this year but can't blindly believe in something that no one can explain the merits off or even argue that it is tactically superior.

Most people would never question the likes of Wenger, Mourinho, Ancelloti and 4231 or 433 seems to be the system deployed by almost all top coaches.

Surely he must see that we don't have the personnel based on his own admissions to play this system so why then play it and gift points like we are doing. We are yet to play a top 8 team and that is very worrying.

He is lucky we have 145 million of players yet to play for us and might save face but on current indications very unconvinced by the entire thing. I say this without hesitation, DM worst game last year with lesser personnel was better than this.

I am concerned even with the incoming players we might be in for a very rough time if he insists on playing this system.

That will not go down well with the board, the fans or the owners after having spent 145 million and counting.

A few more performances like this at home and I expect the fan base to give hims a hostile reception and the media will have a field day with him and it all leads to a vicious circle of pressure on players and the management and a repeat of last year.

4.) I hate the barca way is so boring I am more a Madrid person like the speed and attack

I don't have any source or something you are saying. Just sharing something I saw in internet. That's all.

Is William Carvalho a good alternative to Vidal if it falls?

RedDevil7

1.) I would prefer him, would add steal to our midfield and better cover our lightweight defence

27 Aug 2014 10:02:11
Vidal's agent Fernando Felicevich was in Manchester yesterday. Vidal went out if the Juve training ground avoiding fans.

RedDevil7

1.) Many rumours suggesting Vidal's agent was in Manchester yesterday.

Also Ladyman is saying that MU are now in serious talks with Juventus.

This is a signing that will seriously improve us lining up next to Ander.

2.) 27 Aug 2014 11:17:54
Syd, please tell me you meant Herrera, and you didn't just submit your post before typing out 'son' at the end :)

3.) Knowing our luck though we will sign him only for him to break his leg in his 1st training session

4.) Everything will be sorted out soon Syd. Vidal will be MU player by Saturday or Sunday if all goes according to plan.
Good times ahead.

5.) StevieK, no I meant Lindegaard :)

6.) 27 Aug 2014 11:54:29
That would still probably be better than the alternative :)

7.) StevieK, I agree :)

RedDevil7, I hope you are right mate.

It will be done Syd. Pretty confident about Vidal. Will be a MU player by Saturday or at mist Sunday. Blind bid could go in. Waiting on LvG's final say.
