Pogba will sign for Utd, problem is in 2 years he will be pushing for a move to Madrid. Why spend that much on a player who's ambition is to one day play for Madrid?

Get him for a number of years and then sell him and recoup much of the cost in a number of years. Hopefully can hold him thru his prime. If we had kept him since he arrived, we would be selling him to madrid right now for millions.

2.) 20 Jul 2016 20:27:49
A minimum of two seasons of Pogba is something I'm happy with, then a massive bargaining tool if he wants to leave.

3.) 20 Jul 2016 20:42:13
This is what its come to. Happy if a player, albeit a very good one, stays for 2 years.

4.) 20 Jul 2016 20:43:21
He walked out on us once have man united really got to the point where we are wishing he will come back for 2 year .

Grace us with his presence before moving on .

As a player i would like him in the team but it has a bad feel to it.

5.) 20 Jul 2016 20:58:00
I think salary wise we can compete with anyone now. City have kept hold of Aguero and Yaya for years by giving them bonuses and pay rises every season. We'll need to do the same to keep Pogba and Mino happy.

6.) 20 Jul 2016 21:10:10
You look at mino track record and you have to think he will keep moving his asset on.

7.) 20 Jul 2016 21:29:53
jred, I agree but we are in the minority. It's come to this.

8.) 20 Jul 2016 21:48:11
Your not in the minority on thinking the price is too high Tony. I don't think anybody would say at this point he is the finished article. But he is better than anybody we have and had the potential to be great.
Not the sort of player that will win too many games in an instant but he is the sort player that can win you a league in over the course of the season. That's my opinion.

9.) 20 Jul 2016 21:53:36
Jred, certainly. But if there's no one in a position to buy Pogba and we offer him and Mino more bonuses, then there's a good chance he'll stay. One thing is for sure and that's Pogba loves his football. He wouldn't sulk and refuse to play for example. He also loves his money and fame too, but he doesn't see it as himself getting richer, he is a family man and the money he makes is for all of them. I personally think he'll stop for years if he signs, but I also expect there will be rumours of him leaving EVERY summer too. MU will not let him run down a five year deal and I doubt he'll stay past five years, so I think three years at the club is a likely amount of time within a five year contract. If he signs a six year deal or five+1, then four years is likely IMHO. We can achieve a lot in four years my friend.

Syd
I think he will be gone in 3
Watching him fly round America in his private jet driving his roller etc he looks like he is enjoying his money .

Paying a 100million for a player who walked out on us 4 year ago just doesn't seem right . The way some fans are drooling over him just gives me that United have sold there soul feeling .
Players who put a shift in week in week out get dogs abuse on here let pogba will be treated like a returning king .

11.) 21 Jul 2016 00:38:39
Syd and jred. The old gang are back together :)

12.) 21 Jul 2016 05:28:10
Ha like old times.

13.) 21 Jul 2016 06:45:28
Yeah, p1ss off Ken! Syd's back. You've served your purpose :)

14.) 21 Jul 2016 08:18:53
Lol. How long did I sleep for. Went to bed last night and we hadn't even bought Pogba. Got up this morning and we're selling him.

15.) 21 Jul 2016 09:27:25
Charming Stephen but I'll be Herr for a while yet.

16.) 21 Jul 2016 12:47:40
You've become a German citizen?

Banter is not the same with evertonians. A good season for them is to get a result against us. Lol they've started well but will fall away as usual. Embarrassing you can still buy a half season ticket at goodison at Xmas.

Red-Socks

{Ed025's Note - i think half season tickets are a good idea red socks..after all you norwegians pay for a full one and your season is usually over come christmas.. :)

1.) 05 Oct 2015 22:24:17
It must be very confusing at anfield during the Xmas holidays, bank holidays, now the most confusing day of the whole lot must be Father's Day.

2.) 06 Oct 2015 06:31:11
Ed25,

I will stand up and say Everton are my second team, it dates back to the eighties when they were successful and gave us some relief from the Scousers winning. In 85 I was at Wembley and cheered the losing Everton team around the pitch, we all chanted "Everton" to them because out of respect we acknowledged they were a great side. Therefore I wouldn't insult them but feel sorry that great team were denied a couple of goes at the European cup because of the action of others. With Evertonians we should share one common goal so the banter should be good, unless of course they get back to that 80's level!

{Ed025's Note - united and everton have a good relationship red man, it probably derives from our mutual disrespect of the red half of merseyside...and long may it continue.. :)

I take it ed 25 is a man u fan then lol. Thought van gaal was going to take use back to the top. I admit we very average at the min but use lot are deluded if you think your beloved utd any better. Most average utd side for years and it showed at the weekend lmaoxs,

Red-Socks

{Ed025's Note - im actually an evertonian red socks..which may explain the hostility mate.. :)

1.) 05 Oct 2015 22:08:47
Red-Socks - This Utd side could easily win the league this year even with the handicap of LVG. We are clearly better than Liverpool, any neutral would say that. You have been the same for the past 20 years, you are even wasting the money you have on players like Benteke and Firmino, I'd rather Babel & Smicer. I'd ask ex-Liverpool players to step away from the media because it's they who are deluded and it filters into the fans mindset - just accept you are a feeder club and be happy is my advice.

Just thought I'd pop on to see what you guys are thinkin about klopp to lpool. Very amusing to see some really worried posters on here. Onwards and upwards for the real reds.

Red-Socks

{Ed025's Note - you must be an arsenal fan red socks..

1.) 05 Oct 2015 20:28:19
Better they get Klopp than Ancelotti IMO.

{Ed025's Note - unless they get the lord himself whoever they get wont be able to make a silk purse out of that sows ear until at least january mate..

2.) 05 Oct 2015 20:33:23
Not like a Liverpool fan to get ahead of themselves lol.

You're so confident u needed approval from this page on the matter.

:)

3.) 05 Oct 2015 22:24:44
Got to say if Liverpool get klopp then I will be very disappointed. Much better manager than lvg and his teams play passionate and attractive and effective football. I will be extremely disappointed as I wanted klopp to follow fergie.
If you see the way he connects with his players, it is amazing. We have lvg sat on the bench, not moving, not doing anything, no passion, no clue.

4.) 05 Oct 2015 23:39:02
Klopp is decent but let's not blow it out of proportion. He won 2 league titles with Dortmund and had very good players when doing it. Since then his side were woeful last season and were close to relegation until the last 4 or 5 games they pulled away.

He's not a footballing God, he still has a bang average squad without European football, and if Liverpool think getting Klopp is going to win them the league in the near future they need a reality check. They're years away

5.) 06 Oct 2015 08:09:57
He said he wanted a smaller club that was a project so he got one if it happens.

I really don't agree that zlatan will put the fear of god into prem defenders. He's 34 years old and has been playing in a really poor league let's not forget. Already had one really expensive flop in falcao and look how excited everyone was when he signed. He will sell a few shirts for sure but at his age I just can't see him setting premier league alight.
