Ed, is there anything on the rumour of a bid been made for clyne? And that a deal could be made

Marmite-mclovin

{Ed002's Note - A new contract at Southampton is on offer but interest from Manchester United remains as he is seen as a much cheaper alternative to Coleman. The previous interest of Spurs has gone.}

1.) 25 Jan 2015 17:45:35
I'd rather have Clyne than Coleman.

2.) 25 Jan 2015 20:52:09
And isn't clyne a lifelong utd supporter?

{Ed002's Note - That makes no difference.}

3.) I'd love to sign Clyne! We'd have two great young full backs for years and years to come.

Morning people. Just a heads up a Vidal announcement is imminent

Marmite-mclovin

1.) I read that too

2.) I think you might be right overnight the odds for him to join went to 1/6 now odds ain't always the best to look at but I really believe he going to sign

3.) Marmite are take it this imminent announcement is going to be made by you.

4.) The 2 clubs have now agreed on a fee and Vidal is happy to come and as I stated evra is the sweetener to the deal. The deal is done

5.) I just can't see us spending another 30m+ on a player then going after central defenders on top, we don't have that much money

6.) What's the fee?

7.) I can't give you the fee. But it's between 35-40 with evra, the deal is agreed now, juve are tying up deals. I'd expect LVG to announce this on Wednesday. But it looks wrapped up,,

I have a couple of good sources who have bin spot on. Also Don't rule us out the race for Di maria just yet.

8.) I just can't take the rumours of a 'Marmite-McLovin' seriously.

09 Jul 2014 19:14:51
Well the word on the street is. United have been given the Vidal cost and united will are very confident off pulling off the biggest transfer of the summer. Evra is the sweetener

Marmite-mclovin

1.) The only thing is does Vidal want to move to us.

2.) Carloto. It's all down to Vidal now. Money is not a problem when it comes to Vidal. Man united will break the club record for Vidal. The club are working very hard to pull this one off.

3.) I hope this to be true . i'd just love it!

07 Jul 2014 21:52:06
Ed002 is it true we might now be in talks with juventus for Vidal. And is it true we have bid for Di Maria

Marmite-mclovin

{Ed002's Note - No, and yes, but unacceptable.}

06 Jul 2014 07:39:50
Don't get too excited about the Vidal stories going on at the minute, the truth is there are no talks going on at the minute, and this could go on like the snieder rumours did, there has been no contact from united. W.carvalho seems likely and a deal can be done there. But if we leave it too long we will miss out.

Marmite-mclovin

1.) I like you optimism marmite.

2.) Except we were very much in talks to sign Sneijder.

3.) Carloto, there's not a player I would love to see more in a united shirt than Vidal, but it's very unlikely, the media are just chucking uniteds name at it. Man united have certainly not bid for Vidal, there is meant to be a 40mill bid gone in for di maria tho, and don't expect Sanchez our interest has gone.

4.) Marmite I mean your general demeanour not just the Vidal stuff.

5.) Anything can happen.united have an interest in Vidal but there has been no bid. But on another note. Sanchez agent to hold talks with juve in the next couple of days

6.) And where did you hear about the Sanchez talks with Juve?! The media, that's where all these rumours come from . I don't see why we can't get Vidal. The one I can't see happening is Hummels.

7.) Family on holiday in Italy saying everybody talking about a bid from a epl team hope its us guys

8.) 2toms. Sanchez agent will hold talks with juve tomorrow, but the problem there is. Juventus have not bid enougth to secure him, arsenal are very much the favourite to sign him and a bid of 30million will secure him, as for hummels united are working very hard but will move on,

9.) I'd love to see Hummels at United. Him and de Vrij along with Vidal or Carvalho would be a good transfer window.

Ed002 do you no anything on today's di maria story?

Marmite-mclovin

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what that story is. Sorry.}

1.) Is this the "made up" story reported from Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, which they got from Caught Offside? Some people are so gullible.

2.) No you though, factual itk sydney!

3.) In English please.

Ed002 if you have a minute could we have your views on ed Woodward. He is getting a lot of stick at the minute regarding transfers. None of us really no what's going on behind closed doors.

We just look for a scape goat. I'm a united fan and we have been spoilt by silverware for years. And when times get hard we act disgracefully, booing are own players, talks of boycotting games, our players need us fans more than ever. We are in the middle of a rebuild.

Where not going to win the league this year. But we need to get behind our team. We don't want to spend money for the sake of it. We all get carried away with the media circus saying where linked with everyone. Some of the abuse I have read on Woodward by FANS isn't nice at all. I've jumped on his back but we don't no how hard he trying to get deals done. Cheers

Marmite-mclovin

1.) It's because we're United supporters that we object to the deleterious affect the Glazers have had on the club. We are struggling today because we have not made a key signing since Michael Carrick in 2006/7. Too many of our players will be or have been sold for less than we paid for them: Nani, Anderson, Young, Bebe, Fellaini, Mata, Evra, Vidic, Ferdinand, Hargreaves, Tosic, Berbatov, and even RVP - that's assuming we can even sell them. On top of the poor player investment history over the last 7 years is the amount of money that's been taken out of the club to cover financing costs. Then you add what seems to be the insane decisions to extend the contracts of certain players like Nani, Anderson and now, reportedly, Cleverley. I think not only do we have every right to be critical - it's our duty.

I've supported United since the early 1960s when they were still rebuilding after Munich and were flirting with relegation. I've seen managers and players come and go, and also witnessed the development of the club from a basically domestic enterprise to a global brand. I don't think you can question a supporter's integrity based on whether or not he/she is critical of what's going on at the club. We will still be supporters when the manager, every player now on the roster, and probably this set of owners have all moved on. Since we're the ones who pay their wages we gain the entitlement to complain. We can't just walk away: we are engaged in a rare thing - a visceral life time relationship.

It was William Blake who wrote:

I was angry with my friend
I told my wrath, my wrath did end
I was angry with my foe
I told it not, my wrath did grow

So keep on bitching! It shows your love.

2.) 18 Aug 2014 04:36:49
Perhaps Ed002 is Mr. Woodward!

12 Aug 2014 05:37:09
You can't blame us for panicking a bit over this transfer window. Before it opened we heard about 200mill war chest and where in for a massive summer, and yes we have got shaw and ander. But is that enougth? Yes we will be better than last season but so will everyone else. It's the same rumours everyday. Today you will hear coudrado has agreed terms, or how that bid is going in for Vidal and that where going to break the record for di maria. Where still watching that space woody. The fact we are unable to transfers quick these days is a worry

Marmite-mclovin

1.) 12 Aug 2014 08:14:22
U r inviting trouble from specifiers on here.
Even last transfer window those werr slating people who were showing concerns about no transfer activity. And were telling them to wait till window ends.
Window ended and they hide their face like anything. Seeing no quality addition.
Same is happening this window. lvg assessing squad and all that. Woodward.s in ability to pull transfers are worrying signs.
At 32m mangala was best cb could have been purchased if hummel's availability was in question.( long time uncertain and now not moving)
Vidal rumours has put people sick to death.
Need of wingers or wing backs?? Still a question to find out?

Dead wood has stick to the club. Club can't even managed to sold a single one yet.

This shows total inability of Woodward. that this role is just way to big for him.
Or simply the shown 200m was a joke to get season tickets renewed. which they have actually managed wisely.
And that's why shaw and Herrera transfers are done to show followers club is targeting high.

This people should have been in politics.

2.) 12 Aug 2014 08:29:01
Plenty of time yet, better to get it right than to do it fast.

3.) Hate to admit it but think our lack of Champs league involvement is putting off the big targets - unless LVG can use his charm to convince them that they just need to get on board now and wait a year.

That's why top 4 finish so important for us this year (We can maybe afford this year out, but no more than that). Hopefully next summer's window will be a different story.

02 Aug 2014 17:43:51
Sounds like the end of the Vidal saga. I really don't no what's happend here. The player and agent was very keen to push this one on, why have united not bid yet? Maybe the LVG comments about giving players a chance is true,

Marmite-mclovin

1.) I told everyone that Vidal deal ain't going to happen.
Woodwoody and media fooled everyone.

2.) Relax guys we will sign Vidal 100 percent. If it was that easy then it wouldve happened by now.

It is Juves most important player and if we really want him we will get him the only person that will stop us getting him is Van Gaal.

3.) Ash, it just had to be you AGAIN didn't it. For Gods sake boy grow up. All this conspiracy theory stuff is crap.(Supposed) fans like you seem to take more enjoyment from knocking the club than actually supporting it. If I was a betting man, I would put money on the fact that you want United to fail in everything they do, just so you can say "I told you so".
Or maybe you are just a scouser?

4.) Nice to see ash putting a positive spin on everything. are you moyes in disguise?

5.) 03 Aug 2014 12:33:40
Marmite,

The 'end of the Vidal saga' will be the 1st September. Nothing has ended at all.

16 Jul 2014 17:18:08
Juventus don't want to sell Vidal in the same way athletics didn't want to sell Herrera, we no the value. It's up to us to pay it

Melwing28 it's not about spending massive. it's about bringing the best players in what we can. And if it means paying over the odds we have to do it. We can't afford to buy potential,, we need the best, di maria would be a great buy. We can't afford another bad season,

The situation with Vidal is simple, he wants the move. His agent really wants the move. It's a case of paying the fee juve want. I expect this deal to happen. Juve was clever in there press conference. By stating he wasn't for sale and stating they have had other enquiries, . They was never going to say he was for sale. This deal will happen, my source has not been wrong once this summer

Bookedredmole. Evra is a sweetener, it will come out on Monday as a separate deal. Manchester United and juventus have agreed a deal in principle for Vidal. But juventus need to buy before they let Vidal go. Juve are in talks with iturbe. When that deal goes through I'd expect things to pick up quickly

By singing shaw and Herrera. We have already improved. I think sometimes people forget how much quality we have in our team.but we will get better

I'm not sure of figures, but it's between 38 to 48 millilon. But evra is part of the deal and he will be confirmed by Monday. Vidal is not something that will happen ova night. Could be weeks rarther than days. Like I say the big big problem is that they would rarther sell pogba. And have even gone as far to offer him to clubs. And Chelsea are very interested.
