Reports tonight that we are interested in Muslera, imo a better keeper than De Gea, any truth in it that you know of Eds?

Mad Dog.

{Ed025's Note - i know arsenal have had him watched mad dog but united is a new one on me mate, and as for better than DDG...pfffffff..

1.) 03 Jun 2015 23:46:35
Mad dog you must have had several bottles of mad dog to even consider him to be better than De Gea.

2.) 04 Jun 2015 10:44:32

Gazzetta Dello Sport reporting the reason for Conte's resignation is the final straw of Vidal's sale to United for €44m which was agreed after United upped their offer after confirmation of the Adidas deal.

Don't shoot the messenger, just saw Conte had resigned on Sky Sports & thought I'd investigate Gazzetta's website.

1.) Maybe it's because he may become the next Italy manager

2.) Probably Correct Pancho, & being an Eyetie I hope so, but like I said, just passing on what is being said mate. Sky Sports Italia claim he would never have left Juve for the Italy job unless something was wrong, as his relationship with Agnelli was good until the window opened & he didn't get the players he wanted like Sanchez or Curado, (spelling) he doesn't want Evra either but reporters there are saying he is part of the Vidal deal. He feels undermined & has not ruled himself out of the Italy Job.
Like I said, this is not amazing inside info, it's in the Gazzetta & on Sky Italia, just presuming most on here don't have Sky Italia, so just passing on the news to anyone interested.
Mad Dog.

3.) Yeah Mad dog I would like it to be because we are going to get Vidal.

4.) Let's hope so eh. He is awesome on his day. But you know what our transfer dealings are like, don't raise your hopes too much. Until he is holding the shirt at a photo shoot I won't be convinced.

5.) Conte was told by the board earlier in the year he wouldn't have to sell either of the players. The board have now changed their stance so conte has left due to that

6.) Hd nothing to do with out going transfer at Juventus was about in coming targets and lack of amibtion from the board to match his amitions for the club. the italy job was a small factor he expressed intrest to manage the national team last season b y saying 1 day he'd like to test himself on the international scene.

yes vidal may leave and maybe pogba but it was where the funding from those transfer would be spent that frustrated him. evra was not his 1st choice and di maria was his signing that he wanted but board said no due to he'd cost to much and his wages would be to much of a risk for the club.

Reports in Italy that Juventus have refused a €70m offer for Paul Pogba from PSG. Also confirming an undisclosed bid from a Premiership club believed to be Manchester United, is being considered for Arturo Vidal. Mention of a cash plus Nani deal. Just updating on rumours out here.

Mad Dog

Mad Dog

1.) Do you think there is a genuine chance we can sign Vidal Aswell?

2.) I hope so, fingers crossed

3.) Would love vidal over any other. Without a doubt he is exactly what we need in the middle of the park. And don't believe there to be a better player out there at what he does. If juve want nani and a shed load of cash then who cares let's just do it. don't think even the most negative united fan could possibly argue that would not be an amazing piece of business.
Come on united

4.) I personally don't believe Vidal wants to leave Juve, but there's always hope because his salary is low compared to others. I know Moyes has checked him & Marchisio out but neither want to leave. However either would be great for us & exactly what we need. Guarin exchange with Vucinic was agreed then Inter unexpectedly pulled out & Juve have since slated Inter publicly big time so it's not likely Juve will let Vidal or Marchisio or Pogba leave without a replacement & Guarin was their no1 target.

Not United related I'm afraid but I saw Yaya Toure tonight with an agent/estate agent being shown around the outside of a huge house in Hampstead, North London. An area where a lot of Arsenal & Spurs players live. Would he go there really? I was gobsmacked but it was definately him. Just thought I'd pass that on.

United related. Allegri to Juve is now old news but Sky Italia speculating who will now leave Juve, as Juve fans don't want him & regard "Milan" Allegri as Mediocre & are calling him The Moyes of Juve. This is the man that when at Milan, tried to tell Pirlo 3 years ago he was finished in the centre & put him on the left wing before Pirlo left for Juve. A lot of unrest already apparently.

Mad Dog

1.) Could be just a personal investment - although Mikel seems to be off and with Luiz & Lampard leaving I wouldn't be surprised if Chelsea make the move. I remember an interview where Jose said something like "Yaya is Man City".

I can also see them coming in for Rooney as well if he doesn't fancy LVG or vice versus - if they pull off Yaya we all need to worry though.

Why does DM insist on a 4-4-2? Those days are long gone where wingers got to the byline & cross, old school. We should be playing 4-3-2-1 or 4-2-3-1 to play to our strengths & push the back 4 up & squeeze play. We are always so deep causing huge gaps in midfield. Games are won in midfield & you have to earn the right to win games. We've lost the art of tackling, & lack pace, teams just run at us & have space & choices to play through balls, shoot or drive at us, I really don't get it, basic stuff. We buy Juan Mata, terrific player, but why buy a Ferrari if you are going to drive it like a Fiat?

Angry MAD DOG

Mad Dog

1.) Because the guy who bought the Ferrari has been used to driving Fiat's at Everton!

2.) You need to get your Ferrari serviced as our Fiat is running perfectly, just joking, I think you will finish above Everton just give DM time as Fergie didn't do him any favours, he left him an ageing team who are set in Fergie's ways, hard act to follow, who ever you had got as manager would have struggled in their first season.

Feelings on the current state of affairs. 1 day left.

Disappointingly No signings. I guess the plan was always Baines & Fellaini. MIGHT get Fellaini but is it not just so us fans breathe a sigh of relief that we actually signed someone, that's simply NOT GOOD ENOUGH for our club. Especially if that was always the plan. That is trying to pull the wool over our eyes & as United fans we simply cannot accept that. Everyone else, Thiago, Fabregas, De Rossi, Strootman were all smoke screens, every one of them.

I bring your attention to David Moyes saying "we are always interested in the best players in the world". So are Crewe & Barnet, doesn't mean they will bid or get them because they won't. Just like us.

I predicted mediocrity when Moyes was appointed but always said I'd get behind him but having watched us struggle to break Chelsea & Liverpool down & see us lying 7th or mid table for most United fans, even though its only 3 games in, I feel justified in my prediction so far.

Jumping the gun? Maybe, but the lack of activity in this window shows where we really are, whilst all our rivals strengthen their squads.

Even Spurs have bought 7 Internationals with the money from Bale, apart from Valencia who did we buy when Ronaldo went for £80m? Where did that money go exactly? Oh yeah, to clear some of the debt we never wanted to have in the 1st place. Great, thanks for that, really what United fans wanted eh!

It shows what the Glazers are doing to our club. Moyes was hand picked to be a Yes man, if the club had ambition Mourinho, Ancelllotti & Pep were all available but guess what? Who of those 3 are Yes men?

I fully understand Jose is what he is & short term, but We need a winner in the hot seat, not a Yes Man. Ancellotti or Pep Guardiola would have attracted players, are terrific coaches/managers & importantly, are winners, but all 3 spend big to get what they need. Hence why Barca, Real & Bayern are all so successful & will continue to be so. As will Chelsea & that other noisy mob down the road, much as I hate to say it.

Mediocrity Beckons lads, trust. Fergie alone was worth 20 points a season, is Moyes? Na, don't think so. Watch how we turn into last season's Everton while Everton turn into last season's Wigan without the FA Cup.

Cannot see us doing much business tomorrow if any, the medical alone is time consuming so apart from MAYBE Fellaini (decent but hardly stellar signing & not exactly a statement after Fergie's departure) can't see a busy day tbh.

Dont get your hopes up, Just saying!

If I'm wrong, fair enough & I will take it all back & gladly eat humble pie on Tuesday morning & I hope I am very wrong tbh, but just can't see it. If anything we might panic buy in January, and even that is a mighty MIGHT.

Having said all that I will always support the club, team & yes the manager regardless, it's been my religion since 1965 & always will be. United til I die!

Dennis Irwin without the dead ball expertise is as close as you'll get to a resemblance football wise. Good Solid Quick full back on either side who gets forward & back quick. Difficult to get past. I think he is a great addition.

Guarin deal with Juve in exchange for Vucinic broke down on Tuesday, Deal was done then Inter pulled out unexpectedly without a reason & Juve have slated Inter's new chairman on TV. Guardian Not going to Juve, so it's unlikely they will sell either Vidal, Pogba or Marchisio unless something changes sharpish.

Fellaini, that's it, it's always been the plan & even that could still go belly up! Been saying it all summer! Absolutely Disgusted! Fellaini isn't a bad buy but is that all we can come up with in a whole window. Shocking! Mediocrity!
