If De Gea does leave (and i hope he doesn't). What would be our chances of signing Rene Adler? Spurs would ask for the world if another premier league club is interested in Lloris. And I'm sure i read somewhere that he is a massive United fan.

Lbad

{Ed002's Note - Zero whilst the club has no interest in him. Try Krul.}

1.) 25 Feb 2015 10:16:12
He won't leave, not for the time being anyway I don't believe.

2.) 25 Feb 2015 12:14:53
I hope not Brendan i'd rather play Valdes than sign krul.

Question to Ed002, you mentioned a month back that man utd's interest in aras ozbiliz had gone quiet, is this still the case?

Lbad

{Ed002's Note - Yes.}

1.) 05 Jul 2014 12:14:56
Any interest in Theo Walcott? Short odds at bookies .
Patrick

{Ed004's Note - None at all}

Lbad

{Ed002's Note - Right now Zenit are on the up and are not looking to sell.}

1.) Cheers for that ed

Regarding our obvious midfield problems, what happened to Ganso? Was on the same level as Neymar a couple of seasons ago, but has disappeared since. Would he fit into our midfield?

Lbad

{Ed002's Note - Ganso will not be moving to Old Trafford this summer.}

1.) His injuries just keep appearing, it's a shame, he started out as a terrific young playmaker, I guess they don't all make it though!

2.) I'm brazilian, and actually a supporter of the team (São Paulo FC) that he currently plays.
In the last World Cup he as indeed in the same level as Neymar, but due to injuries and a pretty problematic transfer from his former club to the current one just stalled his evolving curve, while, on the other hand, Neymar progress was absurd, to say the least.
Problem is: his knee cap seems to have a serious problem, which prevents him from running too much or even help get himself ina better position.
So, the current Ganso actually plays almost like Carrick: not much movement, his passing range is not as wide as Carrick's, he's not as good at defending as Carrick. The only thing that he's better than Carrick is through balls and one-twos.
The last few coaches that he worked with in São Paulo FC could not find a better way to use him. He does not have much mobility, but his touch of genius is there. The best solution, so far, was to consider him a "surplus" in the middle of the field, having at least one anchorman and another player that can sprint to brake plays and have good passing.
To european football. I think his chances are just minimal to none.
Very sad thing to say, but to use a player like him the team would have to have a lot of patience. And even so, there's no guarantee that he will be able to pay his price.

I'd like to think I speak for the majority of non toxic fans and say we all appreciate the work of all the Ed's.
I know I've been on this page much much more then usual in these times. And we all love and appreciate the time and hard work everyone puts into these pages. I can only imagine all the toxic posts you all have to weed through especially when people have nothing better to do in these times.

Lbad

{Ed002's Note - Thanks for that.}

1.) 26 Jul 2020 18:11:27
Agree with that 100% top work from the Ed’s.

2.) 26 Jul 2020 18:12:02
I’m sure the toxic fans appreciate all of the hard work that the Eds put in too!

3.) 26 Jul 2020 18:29:49
Hear hear.

4.) 26 Jul 2020 18:31:39
Here here.

5.) 26 Jul 2020 19:42:12
Most of them are ok.
Ed047 is a bit schizophrenic but apart from him their a good bunch😂.

{Ed047's Note - hey there’s nothing wrong with us Ken..sorry I mean me! 🤣🤣

Congrats on the result today too mate, gives you a nice leg up in the transfer market.

6.) 27 Jul 2020 00:32:33
Totally agree. Must take a lot of time to not only moderate our posts but reply to them too. Especially in this most unusual year it has been one way of not thinking about C.V. and enabled us fans to connect as an alternative to going to grounds with friends and family and all the expectation, banter and enjoyment that brings.

With all the talk about Chong and gomes, can any regular watchers of our youth give us information about promising players?
I remember there was quite a bit of hype when we introduced indy boonen, and talk about roshaun. But all of that seemed to have died down now.

1.) 21 Feb 2018 15:10:05
I am surprised Callum Gribbin hasn't kicked on.

2.) 21 Feb 2018 17:58:15
Im not. Questionable attitude. Good dribbler though.

My thoughts on the the recent players being exhausted debate. well i'm tired of hearing that players are tired. At the end of the day these are grown men who are payed a great sum of money to run around for 90 minutes.
Players have rests between matches, and fitness staff to help with this. Yes we have players missing but what about the rest of the season?
We have been in positions like this many times this season, where a single game could propel us in top four. But it seems to me that we don't have the player on the pitch that demands excellence, that will push the team. Yes Zlatan has got us goals crucial ones at that, but you cannot rely on an isolated figure to drive the team.
I personally think that without injuries, we have an excellent group of individual players, however we lack a leader, i'm not saying we need a vidic type of leader but a worker that will motivate our players when they see him putting in a shift they would want to aswell.

That is correct Lbad and this is where the senior lads should have stood up. The likes of Carrick and Smalling. Rooney hardly gets a look in but I would have him in the team simply for his leadership. He atleast shows some passion on the pitch while the others look like they aren't too bothered. They lose the ball too easy and don't even chase to get it back.

Wow what I would give to have a Keane/ G Nev/ Vidic/ Ferdinand in the team right now. Zlatan has tried that and quite often has pulled us out of the hole this season but the others have simply disappeared. Who is there who should be Jose's voice on the pitch? Who is the warrior? Ander Herrera has shown glimpses but that's about it. This "talented" team is a bunch of spoiled cry babies.

2.) 01 May 2017 10:34:27
Shan,

We haven't won the last 10 games Rooney has played over 15 minutes at Old Trafford, some leader he is. We would have been better yesterday playing with 10.

3.) 01 May 2017 11:03:18
Rooney is a goner and I never had him as a leader anyway. He's simply not leader material.
If we want a club captain and a leader then Herrera stands out head and shoulders above everyone at the club.
About time Rooney is told to step down and appoint Herrera as captain. Also, bailly can be vice and one day can be the leading figure we're looking for.
Rooney Carrick smalling Jones Valencia young. Non of these are leaders.

4.) 01 May 2017 13:21:07
Rooney has been shocking and recent reports of drinking after games shouldn't be ignored.

Shame about Pedro, i rate him highly. He can cross or shoot on either foot and makes good runs behind the defence, the unpredictability could have been an asset to our team. If Costa stays fit I'm sure Pedro will place the ball on a sixpence for him to score multiple times this season and even chipping in on the goals himself.

Anyone else excited to see Memphis and Januzaj in a couple seasons, Januzaj's dribbling and close control is a joy to watch, both seem to be the type of players that draw players in and both have an arrogance/confidence on the ball. Which a smart striker or runner can exploit the space created. As long as they both improve on their decision making, both their careers look bright.

Concerning our strikers, by playing a front 3 with inside forwards we need a striker which our attacking players can bounce off, and brought into play. We have Rooney that tends to score goals in bursts and he's short passing can be disappointing. Januzaj is pushed off the ball too easily for my liking to play as a central striker. Kane or Lewandowski would be ideal however, i can see LVG not buying a striker due to a lack of quality strikers that are available or priced too high, and use fellaini in this position should Rooney be injured or not up to standard, i do not know how to feel about this.

1.) 19 Aug 2015 18:30:22
Agree but whatever bayern want for lewandawaski we should give them the money.

2.) 19 Aug 2015 19:25:07
Hard to believe we have allowed this situation to transpire. I makes you wonder what is going on in the club.

01 Jul 2015 12:59:07
Does anyone have info about Wilson and he's contract.
I would love to see him, depay and Januzaj playing on the field. In a couple years I think all three interchanging positions could cause havoc, with all capable of playing on the wing and as striker.

Lbad

1.) 01 Jul 2015 13:21:48
I am unsure if Wilson is capable of playing on the wing, he is an out and out striker for me with a great eye for a goal. As far as I am aware his contract doesn't run out until at least next summer or he would have gone by now.

I see Martial as a young Nani. Has all the potential but inconsistent and lacks awareness. But on the bright side he is young and can add this to he's game by playing regularly.

Disagree regarding Pereira, we need players like him in the squad when injuries hit like now.
I don't see him as a regular starter though.

I remember one of the eds saying as soon as we sign him that we would have to get used to he's playing style, and he may look lazy he plays in bursts in a game. Or something along those lines.

Personally I would love Pedro here. Pace, final product and he's left foot is as great as he's right foot. I can see him playing in youngs role in this system to be honest. As great as Young's season has been it has been predictable when he is going to cut in and he's crossing with he's left has been hit and miss.
