Jred - as you like posing questions, here's a couple for you. If the top 4 stays the same and none of the teams win a trophy, (obviously excluding City) who have been best to watch this season and who look the most likely to challenge City next season.

I’m not jred but here’s my view. In terms of the best football this year, the top 2have been City and Liverpool, then Spurs, follow d by Arsenal and Chelsea, we are somewhere in the following pack with Everton, Burnley, and Stoke.

As for challenging next year, the only team that look likely to challenge City are Liverpool. It all depends on signings and how well they settle but I think we are a bit “fur coat, no knickers”. We could well finish second but it hasn’t been pretty and I’m not convinced we have a title challenge in us next year, some will say Jose has done brilliantly with crap players, others (including me) will say he should have got more out of the quality he has.

Theres going to be a few changes this year. We need a new defence, i would only start with Bailly next year.

We need a 2 cms if Pogba doesn't fix up or doesn't have his heart at our club.

We need an upgrade on Lingard and possibly even go for another striker incase Lukaku gets injured.

Our team is poor and i rate Mourinho for achieving what he has this year with the squad.

I can't believe 1 day you reprimanded me for being repetitive. 😂😂😂
What was it you said AJH 'repeating yourself so often doesn't make you right' but i won't reprimand you as its your right to express your opinion as often as you like. I respect your opinion and right to defend it and express it as often as u like.

At the moment the only team that looks like challenging city is the scouse .
They have improved through out the season and got better imo. Van dyke has helped there defense and the front 3 are playing at very high level .

If Liverpool played city tomorrow I couldn't pick a favourite.
Best football is harder United played some good stuff early on but have been dire to watch since December.
9 times out of 10 spurs are a good watch and good front to back .
Scouse have been entertaining but that's largely down to there attack been some very poor defensive performance .

Good questions all ways good to get a debate going ;)

Ken, there’s repetitive, there’s respective and then there’s, well, you get what I mean. I am bored with repeating the same thing but it can’t be helped sometimes in the face of opposite opinions!

You are the king of repitition ajh and slag others off for it.

I've been critical of Jose's tactics but hats off to him today he got it spot on. I think it's the most effective I have seen Pogba, the movement of both Jesse and Tony also caused all sorts of problems.
Even at 0-0 we showed better movement, caused Everton problems and it did look it was a case of when we would score.
Great stuff from José and the team, more please.

The extra man in the middle suits pogba.

Reminded me a little bit of the days of Rooney / ronaldo/ tevez/ berba / nani - no out and out centre forward as we know them in the conventional sense but a group of attack minded skilful players who were comfortable across the pitch.

Of course they were better players and were surrounded by better players but even so very fluid and dangerous, a bit like current liverpool forwards now they've ditched sturridge.

I hope we are interested in both especially since the Griezeman option was taken away. I would like to think that Belotti is also still being considered, we do not score enough goals. Whatever people think of him, Lukaku is a proven scorer in the EPL and I know some criticise his record against the 'top' club's, but last season it was our inability to beat the so called lesser clubs that cost us dear.
I've also seen some comments saying that Lukaku won't help us beat Europe's best, I don't see that as an issue at the moment. Let's get back to competing for the EPL and being the best team in England first, if we can achieve that then we will be more appealing to the very top players. Some players will want to play for us because of our history but most of the top players want to be competing to win leagues and the CL.
Since Fergie left we have struggled to compete, so first and foremost let's concentrate on seriously competing for the EPL, the rest will follow.

Red Man - just maybe Ole does know what he wants and who he wants but he doesn't feel it necessary to contact you directly to discuss it. He might have made it clear to all concerned and is moving forward with his plans but then that wouldn't suit either yours or the press's agenda so is definitely not true. No doubt if he doesn't win the treble next year you will be telling us how right you were.
Just face facts you can't change things so it's no good moaning about everything that's in the press or is written on here so go along with the ride as decisions will be made regardless of your constant moaning.
Failing that write to Ole demanding he consults you before he makes any decision .

Betty - my comment was not aimed at you, it's a general observation. Since Fergie left the vast majority of comments are critical of either the owners, Ed, the players or the manager of the time. We have had 2 highly experienced managers including the chosen one, an experienced PL manager and now Ole, they all have one thing in common almost from day one they have been criticised on a daily basis.
I appreciate football is a game of opinions but I'm not sure what's gained by the daily negative posting by some people, you can only say the same things so many different ways.
Personally I think Ole was appointed too early but it's done now so in my view he should be given a chance. His experience / cv is questioned, well both LVG and Jose had fantastic records, look how that ended, so there are no guarantees.

Eric, I don't think it's just Ole, whoever's the boss will have the same problem, as you say sadly it's a sign of the times.
Maybe we should have one day a week on here allocated to only positive posting and I don't mean people being positive that Ole is the wrong choice.

Park - I think you are being harsh on Ole, he can only play with the players available and I think the gulf in the qualities of the players was highlighted rather than Ole's limitations. I'm not saying Ole is definitely the answer I just don't feel he should be judged on last night's result.
Injuries didn't help us but at no point during the game did I think we were capable of actually winning the match, outplayed and outclassed by a decent team, as Ole said it was a wake up call for where we really are.
Personally I'm enjoying the ride with Ole as our expectations were so low before Xmas and I think he has us around where we are, about the 4th-6th best team in England. For me last night was a free shot, a win would have been great but the result went with form and quality which wasn't a surprise.

Angel - my post isn't aimed at you specifically, I just find it odd that the press are criticised on here yet some of the posts are far more critical. We have previously seen a player described as a cancer within the club, I've not seen anything at that level in the press.
Even though the views of the supporters doesn't sell a million papers, it was enough for the club to change their whole managerial plans because of the toxic fans.
