Rumours of Aaron Ramsey in a £35m pound transfer. where do they get this tripe from? if we were going to pay £35 for a midfielder I would hope it would be someone of a lot higher calibre. Even when he had his good season a couple of years back he wasn't worth that sort of money! Have I missed something?

Aaron Ramsey must he a steal at thst price. His work rate is phenomenal and he is always in the game whether he's assisting or scoring goals. That leaves Q marks about Mata and Schneiderlin mainly. I think Jose has respect for Schweiny and will probably give him a whole season with us (No sell on Value) . Where as we could cash in on other players. Fellini to me is a Mourinho type player so I think he will stay for another season.

2.) 23 Jun 2016 15:04:53
It's a sign of the times. Every half decent player is worth £25 million these days.

3.) 23 Jun 2016 15:16:02
I think ramsey is a good epl proven player, only 25 years old would be a great buy .
Cant see it tho.

4.) 23 Jun 2016 15:35:12
i have had a little bet with a few fellow UTD fans and i'm convinced that Fellaini will be kept for another season at least by JM.

5.) 23 Jun 2016 19:02:00
Jesus I would carry the money there in shiny pennies! I can't think of many players I would rather get than rambo this really would get me moist!

6.) 23 Jun 2016 21:20:49
Ramsey is outstanding and would be a quality signing. Why Wenger pushes him out wide I will never know.

7.) 23 Jun 2016 21:23:29
Without wishing to be all sniffy, didn't he turn us down for Arsenal first time round? I love him as a player but he didn't seem interested in joining us do some reason.

8.) 23 Jun 2016 21:29:47
Someone of a higher calibre? Is that the same as someone with a fancy name.

9.) 23 Jun 2016 21:33:14
There is also a possibility of us offering Schneiderlin for Ramsey.
Highly doubt it's going to happen though, only the euro fever
Would not be long the day comes when we are linked to Robbie Brady now.
Brady is a very good LB and if we were short of LBs, I'd love to snap him up.

10.) 23 Jun 2016 22:17:17
Would love Ramsey at our club. Bale and Ramsey rejected us and I don't blame them, look at our recent record at bringing on young players. They probably thought they would rot on the bench and the coaching was up to snuff.

Ramsey would take us on a level, better than what we have in midfield and importantly is HG.

What a load of nonsense Beast.

12.) 23 Jun 2016 23:04:45
Cmon guys Wenger loves him and after RVP I cannot believe he will let another of his top players weaken his own team and strengthen a premier league rival.

13.) 23 Jun 2016 23:25:22
Ramsey is top class and i'd be ecstatic if we signed him. Worth every penny of that.

Ever heard of the ramsey curse? The lad scores a famous person dies soon after. From bin Laden to Nancy Reagan, ramsey got them all.

I know this isn't directly linked to United but talk that City are bidding for Johnny Evans for £22m. surely not. ok player but surely their sights are set higher than that.

Tbh he's prem proven. Won 3 titles

And is much better than stones otemendi mangala in my opinion.

But they have spent nearly 250 million in nearly 3 years on defenders.

2.) 18 Aug 2017 13:25:00
Bolger,

Evans is not better than Stones at all and definitely not better than Otamendi. He struggled a huge amount in a back 3 for us when he was expected to bring the ball out as he cannot do that, so how City think he is a good signing for them I have no idea.

3.) 18 Aug 2017 13:38:34
He's being bought to cover Kompany, he's prem proven and will settle very quickly, he's also a very good pro apparently so won't rock the boat if he's not playing every week. I think it's a pretty good bit of business. The lad also gets to double his cash and at nearly 30 this is last big contract. It's a squad game and he's being bought to be a squad player because their best defender is injury prone, I can see why the deal fits.

4.) 18 Aug 2017 14:05:11
Gds. In my opinion He may not be better with the ball at his feet.

But other than that he is miles above them in every other aspect. Your telling me Stones is a better defender than Evans?

Other than he can play out from the back.

His reading for the game is miles better. His heading ability is miles better. And he is miles better at tackling.

He also has little if non mistakes in him.

He has learnt his trade from arguably the best Cb paring of the last 10 years in Rio and Vidic.

If he wasn't sold by us he would be miles in front of jones. Smalling. Rojo and blind and lindeloff. He would be Cb with Bailly.

He along with Hernandez are the 2 players we shouldn't have sold.

Just because he is now playing for West Brom.

5.) 18 Aug 2017 14:26:45
Home Grown Quota - if he was Italian they wouldn't be looking twice.

6.) 18 Aug 2017 14:32:35
Smacks a bit of a desperate signing to me I think he is currently right at his level.

7.) 18 Aug 2017 14:44:32
Good back up if he signs. City have a bumper signing still to come I'd wager and can't blow all their budget on a defender so Prem proven, home grown Evans fits the bill. He's still a good player albeit not a superstar.

8.) 18 Aug 2017 15:06:50
Good solid CB not a fancy name but would do well in that city team imo.

9.) 18 Aug 2017 15:25:23
He won't play much, be another Delph/ Sinclair type unfortunately Could be a first team regular and look very good where he is or maybe even a little better, but he will be playing games that don't matter too much or in exceptional circumstances.

Up to him what he wants to do but he isn't going to be moving to City for the love of the club or because he expects to be a first team player. Good luck to him if he goes (he is going to need it if he expects football), but then he was happy-ish being second string at Utd for a long time so maybe playing week-in-week-out isn't too critical to him.

10.) 18 Aug 2017 16:56:44
He is a huge United fan and his wife still works for the club, I work with a few city fans and they really don't want him and i don't think he would play many games for them, he is at his level and would only be going for the money in my opinion.

As Beast said, all about the home grown quote for their CL squad, maybe we could get £50m for Smalling if they fancy him.

11.) 18 Aug 2017 19:09:43
He can sign for City for me. Never really rated him hugely to be honest, but he is a good lad and a pro by all accounts. Would I rather play for city in a few games a season or be captain at West Brom and playing every week? Tough one, but I'm sure he isn't short of money so that probably wouldn't be the decider.
